The closest major airport is Denver International Airport (DEN). The drive from DEN to Golden is about 45 minutes to an hour but please know that Denver traffic can get a little crazy so plan accordingly!

Train

A Line

If you want to skip traffic (or the ride-share fees), you can take the RTD A-Line Commuter Rail from the airport to Denver Union Station. To find the train: Head out of the main terminal on Level 5 and follow the signs for "Transit Center" down to the platform. The train ride to Union Station is about 37 minutes and costs $10 one way. From Union Station, you can then catch a ride-share or another light rail/bus to Golden. Distance from Union Station to Ceremony & Reception Location (Golden/Genesee) 19 miles | 24 minutes

Rental Car

Options

A car is definitely the easiest way to get around Golden and the surrounding areas. If you plan on traveling up to the mountains and really exploring the Rockies while you're here, we definitely recommend getting an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) car for peace of mind, especially in April (we may see snow). You'll find the main rental car agencies, all of which require a quick shuttle ride from the terminal, at DEN (Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Fox, Hertz, National, Payless, Sixt, and Thrifty) 42 minutes Distance from Denver International Airport to Ceremony & Reception Location

The above are great options for traveling from DIA but remember, Uber and Lyft are readily available as well. To find your ride, head to Level 5, Island 5, on both the East and West sides of the terminal. Expect the fare to Golden to be around $60–$80 one way. Weather April in Colorado is famous for having four seasons in one day! The average high temperature in Golden is around 60°F–62°F during the day, but it can drop to freezing (30°F–34°F) at night. Snow is always a possibility in April! If we do get a late snowstorm, the roads are usually cleared quickly but please be prepared for varying driving conditions and pack layers! Parking at the Venue Yes, there is plenty of free on-site parking at our wedding venue for all guests.
