Bosnia and Herzegovina is safe country. There are pocket pickers and scammers, like everywhere. People do up-charge foreigners, if you believe that you are being treated unfairly, walk away and try next the spot or ask another Bosnian customer for help. Bosnians are friendly and many young people can speak English. Do not wear expensive or sentimental jewelry in public transportation and when touring streets.
