Zach couldn’t imagine this day without him.

Also known as Chef Gavin, he was Zach’s college roommate and a founding member of the legendary Brown’s 5 trio. Known for great wine, better jokes, and never missing a good time—with a roommate tattoo or not—Gavin’s loyalty and humor make him a forever friend.

Maddie has known Molly since she was 12, and watching her grow up has been a gift. From day one, Molly welcomed Maddie like family—even if that meant Maddie sleeping on the aerobed in her room. Not just Zach’s little sister, she’s become a true sister to Maddie.

Kate may have known Zach since kindergarten, but the real magic happened when she and Maddie became besties. Kate literally saved Maddie sophomore year of college by moving her into her dorm—an act of friendship that sparked a bond stronger than their shared obsession with being the best dancers at Browns (especially after a round of margs).

Like a second dad to Zach and a mentor to Maddie for her coaching career, Wayne’s wisdom, warmth, and support have shaped them in more ways than they can count. His unique and amazing sense of humor is always a highlight, and together with his wife, Thaya, they’ve both been huge influences on Maddie and Zach throughout the years. Maddie and Zach are beyond honored to have him leading them into this next chapter.
