All vendors will be following local social distancing guidelines per Jackson County and Kansas City regulations. Our caterer will be serving the food at the buffet to ensure they are the only ones handling the utensils. They will also have sneeze-guarding over the food.
Since this is a private event, our guests are not required to wear masks. If you want to come and are nervous about being around other people please reach out to us and we will ensure to make adjustments in our seating chart to sit you at a table with just your immediate family/limited chairs. If this request becomes popular, we will need to know with plenty of time to spare to ensure we order additional tablecloths. If you want to wear a mask, we encourage it. However, the bride and groom and wedding party will not be wearing masks - this much we know for sure. When in doubt, if you are vulnerable, it is probably wisest to stay home during these uncertain times, unfortunately.
Despite how sad we will be to miss you, please RSVP immediately so we can get ahead of adjusting our guest count. We are considering having a company live-stream & record the ceremony and perhaps some of the beginning of the reception as well. We will have more details as time carries on.
We have officially added all of our guests to our guest list and have began accepting early RSVP's. You will receive an invitation shortly. If you cannot RSVP, please call or text us and we will figure out what we did in Zola for it to not take you or your spouses name. Typo's happen :)
If that was the case, it was likely an error on my part. Please shoot us a message and we will add them so we have as close to as an accurate guest count as possible for our seating chart and caterer. I worked very diligently and Facebook stalked all the guests that I could to find out how many children they have in case I wasn't sure, I promise. We love your kids too!
We have contacted a number of restaurants downtown. The general location will be downtown, however we are waiting to figure out how many guests will plan to join. Since travel restrictions vary in different areas, we realize we will likely not have as many guests as we expected. So, we will know more when we receive RSVP's from all of the guests we are inviting to the rehearsal dinner. As soon as we know the location, we will add it to the schedule of events page and communicate it via call or text. However, if you want to stay near the rehearsal dinner location, I would recommend the Ambassador or a neighboring hotel due to the proximity of the venue and likely rehearsal dinner location.
Absolutely! Just let one of us know and we will mark it “purchased” on our registry. Thanks a lot!
Yes, this is acceptable however you will be missed. If this is the case and you know you won’t be eating dinner with the rest of the guests, please let one of us know so we can adjust our headcount with the caterers and bar services.
Of course your children are welcome and we look forward to seeing them! We do however expect the reception to be quite the event in the latter hours of the evening. :)
If you have to ask that question you probably don’t know us very well after all. Definitely! But bring cash to tip the bartenders please. Please note that the venue will not allow shots to be taken at the event. This is probably for the best honestly.
If we all make it to the end of the event before feeling like it's bedtime, we are told that we will have VIP access at the Power and Light district across the street. Provided that local COVID regulations will keep Power and Light open.
