Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. U.S. citizens do not currently need a visa for tourist stays under 90 days. Future Requirement (ETIAS): From late 2025/2026, U.S. citizens will need to get an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) online before travel, even for short visits. (https://travel-europe.europa.eu/en/etias) Please note: Italy (and the EU) may introduce updated entry requirements in the future. We recommend checking official government travel websites closer to your departure date to ensure compliance.
Florence is extremely walkable, and most major attractions are within a 15–20 minute walk. Taxis and ride services are readily available for longer distances or late evenings. Cash is recommended when using the taxis, but they do have card machines as well. AppTaxi is a good app to have to get taxis in the city, it's more affordable / reliable than using Uber. Comfortable walking shoes are strongly encouraged!
Yes, we will be setting up transportation from a local point in Florence to bring guests to and from the venue. We will have a few different shuttle times for leaving the event for those guests who wish to depart prior to the 1am end time.
October in Florence is typically warm during the day and cooler in the evenings. We recommend packing: – Comfortable walking shoes – A light jacket and or sweater – Sunglasses – Dressy but breathable fabrics, think light layers! It can be 70's during the days, but drop to the 50's at night!
