Matt and I met during Covid in May 2020. Because of this, a lot of our first dates were on the rooftop of Mattās (now our) apartment building. We would put on some music, Matt would grill and Iād bring a wine pairing. The first time we did this, I brought scallops and steak and I dressed up like we were going out. In New Mexico, social distancing was taken very seriously for quite a while, so restaurants, even with masks, were not a thing during this time. So the dressing up, and fancy dinners we would make together, made it feel like an occasion, a real date. We did this a few times a month for as long as the weather allowed (for those of you who donāt know, New Mexico has 4 seasons and by November, it gets pretty chilly by 7p or so). By this point, I had made a music playlist for these rooftop nights. Below, is the first photo we took together, and it was for the cover of the music playlist. Neither of us were dressed up and it was perhaps one week too cold to still be grilling on the rooftop. What I didnāt realize when I took the picture, is that it didnāt save as its own photo in my phone, so I only have a screenshot of the photo we took for the playlist. Hence why it looks so low quality. Itās kind of ironic considering our jobs as influencers that this is the first photo we ever took š Since then, weāve taken hundreds of photos together, and thousands of photos of each other. Weāve traveled to 6 different countries together and countless states. We made a movie together - Mattās directorial debut - Cop vs Killer. We got a tyrant of a dog, Mata, whom we love with all our heart - she turns 2 this year. Weāve met so many amazing people together, and met all of each otherās favorite people from before the relationship started. So much has happened since that first photo, but the magic of that cold night and playlist photo is still very evident in our relationship and life together. So weāre getting married - Santa Fe style. We hope youāll join us in celebrating that magic - our love - at our wedding this September. Wear cowboy boots and perhaps bring a jacket. Other than that, come as you like; weād be very grateful š
