We're getting married

Technically, JR and Meaghan met the first day of their freshman year at Cornell University, where they were placed in the same dorm. However, they did not get together until after graduation, when they both moved to their still-favorite city, Chicago. It was here where they grew up, fell in love, and spent endless days with friends exploring parks, figuring out the L, relaxing by the lake, trying new restaurants and jazz bars, watching sports and sitcoms. During 2020, they decided to move in together. Due to the pandemic, JR and Meaghan were both working from home. It was here, combining their separate lives while spending more time than ever with each other, that they realized how truly compatible they were. A year later, Meaghan got a job offer for a start-up in the Bay Area and JR moved to Saint Louis to work for his family. After a year of distance between California and Missouri, they were reunited when JR moved to the Bay to work in tech. They currently live in San Francisco where they spend endless days with friends exploring parks, figuring out the BART, trying new restaurants and jazz bars, watching sports and sitcoms. Not much has changed except they've added golf, tennis, pickleball, skiing, bird watching and cooking to the rotation. On August 8th, 2024, JR and Meaghan took a trip back to Chicago. Against the backdrop of a dry sunny day into a deep pink sunset, JR proposed, and Meaghan said YES! Throughout the weekend they were joined by both sets of parents, and friends from college and Chicago who came together to make the event perfect. Meaghan and JR are so excited to get married, back in their favorite city, no doubt surrounded by love, friends, family and connection, as their relationship has always been.
