The downtown is full of amazing shops, restaurants and tours. Favorites include Daffy Taffy And Fudge Factory, McSeagull's, Cap'n Fishes Whale Watch, Downeast Ice Cream Factory, and the Smiling Cow!
Activities at the Resort
Included with your room is access to all of LBR's facilities including daily breakfast and access to the saltwater pool, kayaking, paddle boards, tennis or pickleball, firepits, cornhole, and more.
Glidden Point Oyster Farms
If you want a true Maine experience you can Shuck Your Own (SYO) oysters at this oyster farm! A great way to spend the afternoon and a short drive from the resort. Make sure to try Pemaquid versus Damariscotta and let us know your favorite!
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens
If you're looking to explore by foot, the Boothbay botanical gardens are a great escape! The butterfly garden is a personal favorite of Meagan's!
Footbridge Brewery
Named for the 1901 footbridge in downtown Boothbay, this newly opened brewery is a great afternoon spot for a beer after shopping! Other local favorites include Boothbay Brewing and Oxbow in Newcastle.
Abacus Gallery
This art gallery in town features lots of local Maine artists. Mike and I have the Dana Healey Abacus calendar hanging in our Boston home year round - we love it!
Dolphin Mini Golf
This quick 18 hole mini-golf is family friendly and very charming. It's cash only and has a can't miss ice cream stand and mini shell museum you can't miss afterwards! Meagan grew up playing here (but Mike still managed to beat her in a round).
Coveside Marina & Restaurant
If you're looking to take a day trip before or after your stay, head to South Bristol, ME where Meagan spent her summers. Grab a lobster roll at Osiers, hike the Rutherford Island Preserve (where we got engaged) and don't miss a dark and stormy at Coveside!
