It all started with a double text and a beer... and the rest was the best yet to come. Eric and Meagan met during the "forgotten years" of COVID in 2020 which also meant the years of "online dating". Neither of them were truly looking for something as they knew this timing was wild. So, Bumble seemed like the best bet because the girl was in control. So, on October 17th, 2020 when Meagan saw a 6'4, family-oriented, kind-eyed looking man, she swiped right! As an English teacher, Meagan was racking her brain with what witty remark she could hook him with, then quickly realized that if any guy was to like her, they'd like her despite her opening line. So Meagan opened the chat and wittingly asked Eric how his Saturday was going.. that's it. Their conversation flowed for a couple days before- for some reason- Meagan stopped responding to Eric. However, as the fates would have it, On October 26th, Eric pulled out the double text and asked what Meagan thought about getting together for a drink one day that week and on Halloween- Meagan's late grandmother's birthday- they would have that first beer at what later became the place Eric proposed to Meagan over 2 years later. Neither of them ever seeing it coming, a relationship neither of them thought possible, and a love that both of them know will only grow as they continue to build their lives together... and the best is yet to come!
