Colby and Meagan met April 10th, 2019 after matching on the social media app, Hinge. Online dating was like digital speed dating--they only had a few pictures and a couple of quick quips to get a feel for who the other might be but despite that, Meagan found herself instantly charmed by Colby's quick wit and sense of humor and he in turn couldn't pass up a date with a girl who wore a "I want pizza, not your opinion" shirt in one of her profile pictures. They made plans to meet for drinks at Kangaroo and Kiwi, a Ballard neighborhood staple, where the pair quickly fell into an easy rapport, teasing and needling at the other as the evening wore on. They quizzed each other on their lives, their interests, their likes/dislikes, and together endured the most punishing set of trivia questions ever posed at a bar before collectively licking their wounded prides over a monstrous beer tower. When Colby later went in for their first kiss in the middle of a heated debate over the Star Wars franchise, Meagan knew she had to see him again. 3 years and countless beer towers later, Colby and Meagan have set out on one adventure after the other together. They've attended dozens of concerts and weekend long music festivals, traveled to Hawaii and Cancun, backpacked and camped in the Snoqualmie National Forest, gone skydiving, and now embark on their biggest adventure yet.
