Bride
I can truly say that when I first met Emily and watched her sing in a 7th grade classroom talent show that I felt something I had never felt before. It was even better than when I saw Harry Connick Jr live in concert and we all know how majestic that guy is. The feeling welled up inside me and made me feel warm, calm and safe. and She gives me that feeling again and again everyday. I love how passionate she is, and I am passionate about her. She has a beautiful way of caring about everyone in her life, especially our terrifying little beast of a cat, Lilo. I am so proud that I get to call her my wife and I'm so happy that she seems to like me most of the time.
Groom
I met Luke when I was 11 years old. He started as the weird, crazy dude in my humanities class with the super long hair. Then he was the cool guy who cut his long hair and wore a leather jacket. Then he was the guy who stole me from my 7th grade "boyfriend." Sometimes, we were friends, sometimes we were more than that, but after 6 years of knowing each other, we finally got together for good. And my life has become so beautiful since then. Luke is my very best friend, the only person who I truly never get tired of, my greatest support, and the funniest human on the planet. I love him and I always have. We have known each other now for nearly 12 years. And I wouldn't change it for anything. I can't wait to call him my husband.
Father of the Bride
My dad is the coolest dad there is. I know a lot of people probably say that, but for me, it's actually true. Not only do I know that I can always rely on him for anything I could ever need or want, but I also know I will always have a great time when I'm with him. I love our sushi and fried chicken nights and our Breaking Bad binges and our bowling adventures. I love you, Dad. And I can't wait to walk down the aisle with you.
Mother of the Bride
My mom truly is my best friend. I can go to her in tears and she turns them into laughs. I know that time spent with my mom will always result in wine, laughter and, oftentimes, embarrassment. There is truly never a dull moment between the two of us and I feel so lucky that I get to see her several times a week. She's been so important in this whole wedding planning process and I'm so excited to experience this day with her. I love you, Mama!
Father of the Groom/Officiant
This is my dad, Lance. He's a cutie pie with a heart of gold. He will be officiating the wedding ceremony because he has a way with words, and a joy for expressing his feelings about those that he loves. He also loves craft beer, basketball, outer space, jazz, and we like to call him Pants.
Mother of the Groom
My mom is the sweetest little lady. She cooks food better than any restaurant you've ever been to, and she even does it using vegetables. She always has a new funny story about the pre-school kids she teaches that leaves us laughing out loud. She loves food, bumblebees, movies and, like my dad, craft beer.
Maid of Honor
My sister. My built-in best friend. The first thing I did after getting engaged was ask her to be my maid of honor. I’m so lucky that I have her in my life and I am so excited to have her by my side for my big day!
Best Man
Jake, being my brother, is someone who has been there since my birth, I assume. I don't remember anything from when I was a baby. He's the smarter, wittier, slightly older and slightly shorter of the two of us. And, while less athletic, somehow seemed to always beat me at basketball when we were kids. Clearly, I can't get over that fact. I suppose that's the rule of the older brother. Anyways, he's always there for me to talk to, I love and cherish him very much, and there's no one else that could be my best man.
Bridesmaid
Katherine is the best cousin in the world, a true friend who I can go years without seeing and pick up exactly where we left off. When I get to spend time with Katherine, I know I’m going to spend the entire time laughing. From getting coffee on the beach to staying up all night talking about college, faith, boys, and life, Katherine is the perfect lady to be my bridesmaid.
Bridesmaid
I met Kobe during my amazing years in Fort Collins. I know I can always count on her to be down for anything. Watching the Bachelorette with a bottle of wine? Kobe's there. Pumpkin patch? Kobe's there. Going to some random Irish pub that we still to this day don't think we could find again? Kobe's there. From the margaritas and tacos at Fuzzy's to the cold shuffleboard nights at Road 34, we've wracked up some great memories over the past few years. I'm so excited to have a friend of both Luke and I standing up there with us on our wedding day!
Bridesmaid
My Katie, my surse, my Dance Moms pal. Katie started off as my sister’s best friend when they were in middle school. But she grew to be our third sister. And through high school, college, and now trying to navigate the world as working adults, I can always count on her for Starbucks and a movie or a reality tv sesh. Love you, Katester!
Bridesmaid
This fool. Lauren and I met when we were 6 years old at swim practice. And life as we knew it ended then. This girl has been my best friend through everything. Our friendship has lasted through so much. Through all the crazy boy drama in high school, through competing against each other in swimming, through graduation, and through being a thousand miles apart. I love you, Rizz, and I am so lucky to have such a rare friend in you.
Groomsman
This little, new brother of mine and I used to break countless things in my soon to be In-Laws' house while wrestling around like a couple of fools. Now, he's a marine and wrestling him feels like it would be a mistake... for him. I could still take him.
Groomsman
Dylan is the devilishly handsome famous author of the book, The Showers, and one of the kindest people I've encountered in my life. I feel lucky to have met him and spent some of my best college years with him as a friend. He's also absolutely hilarious because non-funny people aren't allowed to be around me.
Groomsman
Beau is my best friend from high school, and one of my oldest friends. Well, he himself isn't old. He's normal aged, or, my age rather, not to say being old is abnormal. Anyways, he's a Kanye obsessed film fanatic with a sense of humor like no other. Like, seriously, I don't even know if you'll think he's funny because his sense of humor is literally like no other. I love it, and cherish him as one of my very best friends.
Kitten of Honor
Lilo is our cat. She is super cute and is basically what we center our lives around. Don't judge us. Unfortunately, she is far too feline to actually be in the wedding, so she's staying home during the celebration. She will be there in spirit. Which is much better than her being there in person (or...in...cat), as she would be clawing everything, eating things she isn't supposed to, and destroying fancy clothing and decor. Yay for Lilo who will soon be a legitimate child.
