Flight
If you're willing to endure a layover, you might consider flying straight into Santa Fe. Only about 20 minutes from town, very convenient, very tiny, kind of adorable. SAF airport connects to DFW, PHX, and DEN, and serves American Airlines and United.
Flight
The Albuquerque airport offers many more flights, even some direct flights. However, it's about an hour drive from Santa Fe. Flying here means renting a car, securing a shuttle through Sandia Shuttle ($35 per trip), taking an Uber (~$80 per trip), or taking the RailRunner Train, which boasts a charming if not entirely convenient schedule.
House Or Rental
Santa Fe is so quirky, that it might be fun to rent a home via Airbnb. There are a lot of little small homes (Casitas) in and around town...but if a big group of you would rather rent a ridiculous Hacienda, so be it!
Hotel
$ This hotel is close to town, offering shuttle service to and from downtown Santa Fe. The prices are usually good, and they have a fun outdoor bar space. Perfect for those who want to save a little $$$, and stay in Santa Fe proper
Hotel
$ SUCH A DEAL in *basically* downtown Santa Fe. Across the street from the Inn of the Loretto – no spa, but proximity! Next door to 315 bistro, which boasts a SICK oyster happy hour...if you're into that (Caitlin is!)
Hotel
$$ A favorite to the Mother of the Groom, and to the employer of the Bride. This hotel boasts a lovely Native-cuisine restaurant (as if you have time to eat somewhere else, haha!), and a shuttle service to anywhere in town. We sneak into this pool, but only sometimes. DON'T TELL!
Hotel
$$ A hop, skip and a jump away from the plaza, but very close to downtown. Stay here if you want a place in walking distance to the Plaza and to the Railyard district.
Hotel
$$$ Right downtown, very close to all the 'Greatest Hits' of Santa Fe. Not as spendy as the Inn of the Anasazi, but close. They do boast the bell-tower bar, a rooftop cocktail option for sunset gazing
Hotel
$$$ About 2 blocks from the plaza, a luxury experience. We know, because we often sneak into this hotel's pool and patio for the summer. Book, but don't tell!
Hotel
$$$ This place houses a bar called El Secreto, which boasts prohibition-era cocktails, and one spin on the classic margarita, called the Smoked Sage Margarita. Order that if you want a bit of a show. They just opened a Steak House which neither of us has tried, so if you stay here, tell us what you think! It's a Franciscan hotel, which means minimal appointments. If you want Monkish, minimal luxury, this might be the place for you.

$$$ This place is very nice, the very nicest! Right downtown, around the corner from the Shed, with a really friendly staff. The bar is great, the food is great, but the price reflects the service. Stay here if you're looking for a luxury Southwestern experience! It's wonderful...they do a "cookies with tea at three" kind of wonderful!
