The Wedding Website of McNeilly Fieweger and Jack Walsh
There are three hotels we recommend along with some neighborhoods we recommend exploring and staying in for AirBNBs or VRBOs. If you REALLY want to stay in San Francisco, PLEASE leave 1.5 for travel to the East Bay during peak traffic hours!! Also please note that Outside Lands is this weekend, so traffic in San Francisco will be affected.

Travel Note

Rockridge

A cute neighborhood popular among families and Cal students. Walk along craftsman bungalows or take BART into the City. Check out Starter Bakery and Chocolate Dragon for some treats, afterwards stop by our favorite used book store, Pegasus Books.

Travel Note

The Elmwood

Blend of longtime Berkeley Residents and Cal students, the Elmwood is great for neighborhood walks and boutique shopping. We HIGHLY recommend Casa de Chocolates, known for their truly delectable bon bons and frozen hot chocolates. You know their chocolate is good because the AC is ON in the shop. Forgot a vacation read? Stop by Mrs. Dalloways, a cute little bookstore, and after grab a coffee at Baker & Commons!

Travel Note

Temescal

A fun place to stay for easy access to public transit not only to the venue, but San Francisco. Check out Tall Boy for martinis and vegan hot dogs (warning: it gets busy!!) or Temescal Brewing for a nice backyard brewing vibe. You honestly can’t go wrong with the restaurants in this part of Telegraph, especially the Korean ones. Our favorites are Peyong Chang Tofu House and Azit.

Travel Note

Japantown

This is pretty far out, but if you want to stay in San Francisco and go site-seeing we highly recommend staying in the Japantown area. The hotels are at a great price and you can walk or take the bus to plenty of sites. Lafayette Park is close by and you can even trek out to Fort Mason. Feeling adventurous? Check out Golden Gate Park and check out Jack’s work at the Botanical Gardens
