As it’s a popular destination, we were only able to reserve rooms for the night of the wedding—October 1st—for all of our guests. To book, please use the code W50110 on the website, or mention the McNamara/Modic Wedding by phone/email, and be sure to reserve your room by August 1st. The easiest way to book is often by emailing sales@cabracastle.com or calling the castle directly at 011 (US exit code) +353 42 966 7030. The team there is incredibly kind and helpful—just keep the time difference in mind!

No official room block here—just a local gem we’d totally crash if we weren’t staying at the castle. There's something about a tiny Irish B&B!

We didn’t snag a block of rooms here either, but it’s still a solid pick if you’re castle-adjacent!
Travel Note
Whether you're a seasoned traveler or heading abroad for the first time, we've pulled together a helpful list of things to know before your trip— From Dublin-specific airport tips to helpful travel hacks, we hope it makes your journey smoother and your time in Ireland even more enjoyable!
Travel Note
While Ireland is full of charm, small-town life comes with a few quirks—like the absence of Uber and Lyft. In and around Cabra Castle, taxis can be extremely limited and usually need to be scheduled in advance. We recommend renting a car if you’re comfortable driving on the left side of the road. For those who'd rather not navigate winding country roads, hiring a local driver (or an airport transfer) is a great alternative! Several guests who’ve done this in the past said it was both affordable and stress-free, especially when arranged ahead of time. If you're considering this option, we suggest reaching out early to secure your preferred dates and times. If you're extending your trip and visiting cities, you'll most definitely find Uber and Lyft to be accessible!
Travel Note
Planning to cross the border into Northern Ireland during your trip? Just a heads-up: Northern Ireland uses British Pounds (£), not Euros (€). If you plan to pay with cash while you're there, be sure to have some pounds on hand. That said, most places accept cards, but it’s always good to know ahead of time!
