Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.

Question

About the Venue

Answer

Parking at Caberfae: The parking lot is located directly in front the the ceremony space and to the left of the lodge. Due to Caberfae Peaks being a functioning ski resort for a majority of the year, the parking lot is made of dirt and is subject to some rough terrain. Ceremony Space: The ceremony will be held outside on the lawn between Mackenzie and Blackmere lodge with a back up location inside Blackmere Lodge if weather takes a turn. Please plan accordingly for a short outdoor ceremony in early May. Reception: Cocktail hour, dinner, and the reception will be held inside Blackmere lodge. There is a flight of stairs to get up to the dinner area. If you require assistance to get up the stairs, please reach out to the bride or groom as soon as possible. After dinner, the party will continue back downstairs on the dance floor! The Restroom Situation..: Guests will not have access to the reception space prior to the ceremony. There are restrooms located in the lobby of the hotel, which is only a short walk from the ceremony space. Once the ceremony is concluded, guests will be invited inside Blackmere lodge for the start of cocktail hour. Restrooms are located on the ground floor only. If needed during dinner, you will have to go down the stairs to use the restroom.

Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We ask that guests come in cocktail attire. For women, think dresses that are mid thigh to ankle length in luxurious fabrics, such as silk and chiffon. For men, we ask that you wear a suit and tie for the ceremony. All colors apart from white and ivory are welcome! There's rarely an occasion to dress up, so let's all have fun with it!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Yes, if your invitation is addressed to you and a guest. We can't wait to celebrate with you and your guest!

Question

Are kids Welcome?

Answer

While we would love to celebrate with everyone we love, due to limited space this will be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of children specifically named on the invitation.

Question

Where Can I Find Accommodations?

Answer

We have blocked all rooms available at Caberfae Peaks for the night of the wedding. In addition to the resort, we have also blocked rooms at Days Inn and Holiday Inn in Cadillac. More information can be found on our 'travel and lodging' page.

Question

Cell Phone and Cameras

Answer

We invite you to be fully present with us and ask that you put phones and cameras away during the ceremony. We've hired an amazing photographer and we would be happy to share our professional photos with you afterward!

Question

What's on the menu?

Answer

Cocktail hour and dinner will be catered by Caberfae Peaks. Dinner will be a plated meal with two entree selections. Most dietary restrictions can be accommodated by the venue, so please reach out to the bride or groom if you require specific needs! We will also be having dessert and late night snacks. We hope you enjoy the menu we have selected!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

YES! Please reach out to the bride or groom for any dietary needs. Caberfae Peaks Resort is catering the event and is able to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten sensitive, and celiac diets.

Question

This is all great, but what about the drinks?

Answer

We will have an open bar available at the start of cocktail hour and through the remainder of the reception. This includes wine, beer, liquor, and non-alcoholic beverages. While it is an open bar, all guests ordering an alcoholic beverage will be required to show some form of ID!

Question

Can I RSVP?

Answer

Yes! You can RSVP on this website at any time. If you received a Save the Date from us, you can now RSVP. RSVPing also helps us with our plans (speaking with caterers, DJ, etc.). So please RSVP as soon as you are able! We will be sending out invitations in the coming weeks, but there is no need to wait until you get an official paper invite in the mail. Thank you!

Question

Updates are Coming...

Answer

We are in the process of collecting vendors and scheduling details for our wedding, and the preceding days. Please check back for new updates periodically. We appreciate your understanding. If you have questions, please reach out to Allie or Brian. Thank you!
