Since their first meeting, Allie and Brian have been on quite a journey. Like many, they first connected and started talking online, and it wasn't until meeting in person that tiny sparks began to fly. In 2019 Allie was living in Grand Rapids, recently graduated from college. Brian was living in Kalamazoo, pursuing his career as a camera operator for live sports. Brians job frequently brought him to Grand Rapids and it was there that they first saw each other. On the 4th of July Allie decided to celebrate by going to a baseball game with her family and by complete coincidence Brian happened to be working that very game. Through the lens of of his camera he spotted her sitting directly in front of him. A few days later, they went on their official first date: dinner and a movie. Over the next few weeks, they quickly got to know one another and bonded over various large and small topics. They fell into an easy rhythm — movie nights, playing games with friends and family, and visiting local hangouts. In early 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic enveloped us all, they spent most days of the lockdown together. Later that year, Allie decided to move down to Kalamazoo to be closer to Brian. Allie and Brian have now lived in Kalamazoo together for five years. Allie has since found a job with a local coffee company and gets to work inside a bookstore five days a week. Brian is continuing to grow his career as a freelance camera operator with bigger and bigger shows under his belt each year. All this is to say that the couple has experienced many exciting changes over the past six years together. Throughout it all, they've learned they can rely on each other for comfort and support as they've built their lives around one another. Now, they look forward to formalizing their commitment to one another with so many people who have been part of their story.
