FAQs

Question

Do you have a hotel room block?

Answer

Yes! We have 3! Please see the Travel tab on our website for more information.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would like everyone to come dressed ready to celebrate with us in semi-formal attire.

Question

Will there be dancing/entertainment?

Answer

Of course there will be dancing!! Bring your dancing shoes and dance the night away with us! Our DJ will be taking requests all night and will keep the party going!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

New Orleans is beautiful in the Spring. This is when a lot of people choose to visit due to the humidity being slightly lower and temperatures averaging a high of 73 degrees and a low of 54 degrees. Ran chances are slim, but you never know when a pop up shower might occur.

Question

Will the ceremony/reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be outdoors and reception will be indoors. We do have a backup ceremony location indoors booked, just in case the weather doesn't cooperate.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Directly after the ceremony, we will be taking a few pictures with our family and bridal party. All guests are asked to make their way to the reception location. We hope you will socialize and enjoy your time with new friends and family while you wait for us to arrive. Also, this would be a great time to sign our guestbook and take photos in our photobooth!

Question

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

In true NOLA fashion, we will be having a Mardi Gras themed wedding! Purple, green and gold! We will have a few masks for you to wear and take home, but feel free to take time before the wedding to explore the French Quarter and pick out your very own mask to bring to the wedding! You can find them everywhere!

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The Omni Royal Orleans is located in the heart of the French Quarter at the intersection of Royal St. and St Louis St., just two blocks from Jackson Square. Walking is going to be the best means of transportation, but there are also Pedicabs (room for two people, basically a bicycle), Uber, Lyft, and even the Street Cars!

Question

Will parking be available?

Answer

If you choose to drive directly to the Omni Royal, there will be a fee for parking.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

While our ceremony will be an "unplugged" ceremony (we ask that all cameras and phones be put away during the ceremony), we would love for you to take all the pictures you can from the rest of the weekend! Please us our hashtag #BeenLovingYouForAWiley and tag us in your photos so we can have all the memories possible from our day!

Question

Are the ceremony and reception areas wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes. Both areas are wheelchair accessible.

Our ceremony is taking place at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel on the Royal Garden Terrace. The reception will take place in the Grand Salon of the same hotel.
