Visit Blackrock Village
Blackrock is a seaside village just to the south of Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland where Debbie grew up. The small town is in the townland of Haggardstown and part of the Dundalk metropolitan area. Besides the beautiful view of the Irish Sea the street is lined with pubs, restaurants, bakery and more!
Dundalk Golf Club
From the club house you can take in the panoramic vista of the Cooley Mountains and Dundalk Bay. You can ask Debbies Dad, Tony, all about the golf in the area, he spends his free time here!
Marshes Shopping Centre
If you forgot something, no worries! The shopping centre is not far away!!
St. Patrick’s Cathederal Dundalk
St. Patrick's Cathedral is a Catholic cathedral in the center of Dundalk! Opened in 1899.
Market Square
Great area to walk around downtown with cafés, pubs, restaurants, and shops!
St Brigid's Shrine
This is a free site to visit and it provides interesting history about one of the iconic Irish saints. Nice calming area with views of the town from here! Highly recommend a visit!
Castle Roche
Roche Castle, lies in the hilly countryside, north west of the city of Dundalk, in County Louth in Ireland. Castle Roche was built in 1236 by Lady Rohesia de Verdun.
Carlingford Brewing Company
Craft beer and wood-fired pizza...you’re talking the Kunzman language!!! (This is about a 15 minute drive away!) Don’t worry if you aren’t a beer drinker, they have wine options too!
Greenore Golf Club
The course and club are situated on the shores of Carlingford Lough with magnificent views of Slieve Foy Mountain and the Mourne Mountains. Greenore Golf Club was founded in 1896 and is steeped in interesting golfing history including being one of the ten founding members of the Golfing Union of Ireland (GUI) in 1900.
St. Peter's Church of Ireland
You can visit the national shrine to St. Oliver Plunkett. Saint Oliver Plunkett (1st November 1625 - 1st July 1681) was the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland. On July 1st 1681 Oliver Plunkett, was the last and most famous in a series of Irish martyrs executed for their faith by the English crown. When the Roman Catholic Church canonized him on October 12th 1975, he was the first Irishman granted sainthood in almost 700 years.
Boyne Brewhouse
Couldn't have the Kunzman's in town without some breweries to visit! Boyne Brewhouse is located in the heart of the Boyne valley in Drogheda, County Meath. Brews on site!
Newgrange
Newgrange is a prehistoric monument in County Meath, Ireland, located 8 kilometres west of Drogheda on the north side of the River Boyne. It is an exceptionally grand passage tomb built during the Neolithic period, around 3200 BC, making it older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids.
Slane Irish Whiskey Distillery
Explore the whiskey distillery where three different types of Irish whiskey are made: Malt, Grain and Pot Still.
Listoke Distillery & Gin School
We have never been here, but we know we have some gin lovers in our crew! They offer GIN school and tastings at the distillery!
