Pastor Arthur Wilson

Officiant

Pastor, Anthony and I are forever indebted to you, We thank you for being a man of valor, the greatest example of a man of God, a father, a mentor, a leader, a servant, and an exceptional Pastor. Your character and what you stand for resonates with us daily. From the moment you blessed our courtship we were certain that God would be glorified within it. And even when Anthony and I went through our break ups, you were our mediating factor and our support in assuring us that we would get over every hurdle--even when it seemed too high to jump. You taught us what it's like to fight for something and someone worth fighting for; and this, by far, has been the greatest fight of our lives. From the beginning of us, you stood--and now we share vows before God. We made it! -Anthony and Nicole

Angeline MaGee

Mother of the Bride

Mama, I know I wasn't the easiest daughter to deal with growing up, and I probably caused you a lot of pain [especially in my teenage years]. And for that, I offer my deepest apologies. But one thing is for sure, you instilled in me the value of strength, the beauty in being resilient, the importance of loving myself and others, and the gratitude in making the best of life, even when the darkness seemed to smother the light. I love you--for your perseverance, for your wisdom, for your courage, for your care, for your correction, for raising me to be a woman of dignity, respect and honor; to you, I give my sincerest thanks. You've taken great care of me throughout the years, but in due time I'll be cleaving onto my husband. And he loves me so much. Don't you worry, mama. -Your baby girl

Orrice MaGee Sr.

Father of the Bride

Dad, it seems like just yesterday I was that eight year old little girl. I was always grateful for the times I'd get to share with you, whether it was for five minutes or five hours. I remember you'd always greet me with, "hey, sweetie pie!" followed by a kiss on the cheek that lasted for eternity. Your smile reminded me of my very own, and to see it appear on your face whenever you laid eyes on me made me feel good--and I miss it. Your little baby girl is in love now and I'd love to see that smile of yours one more time, as you walk me down the aisle to share my life with the man that I love. -Sweetie Pie

Venessa Williams

Mother of the Groom

Mom, thank you. Words alone doesn't rule you any justice for the provision you have given me in my life. The Christmases, the birthdays, the video games, the toys--I'll never forget it. You were my provider and always worked hard to assure that I could enjoy the simple things of life. I thank you for being there for me and doing the best that you could--and those things do not have to be over; although, I'm making a transition in my life to marriage. I'm going on to be a husband, and eventually a father, but I'll always be your baby boy. Thank you. -Your only son, Junior

Anthony McKinney Sr.

Father of the Groom

Dad, thank you for being my father, for every word of advice you have given me and for all that you have done in my life. I appreciate you and I love you. I'm on my way to being a married man as you are, so we'll probably converse more about "marriage stuff" and how to deal with our wives. I look forward to talking with you husband to husband, and we'll definitely have to set up more guy time, since we'll both be married men. Your only son is growing up right before your eyes. Your son, Junior

Mikayla Wilson

Maid of Honor

Mikayla, you have stood with me for over ten years; I was eleven years old when I met you--you had braces, and you always wore jean skirts with Converse sneakers. I thought you were the coolest person ever, but it took me awhile to come out of my shell. It wasn't until after church on a Sunday--I cracked a joke and we've been laughing together ever since! You give meaning to what it means to be a friend and a young woman of virtue. It is with great pleasure and love that I ask for you to be my Maid of Honor on the day I get to marry my best friend. Xo, Nini

Ashe' Lewis

Bridesmaid

We went from totally hating each other when we met, to being on one accord, teaching Sunday School together, working at the same school, traveling together, laughing together, and interceding at the altar for one another. You became my wave of calm when I was ready to strangle my fiance' and my breath of fresh air when I needed an escape from life. It is no accident that you are my bridesmaid; in my heart, you are my sister. Xo, Nini

Gineara Hannah

Bridesmaid

Do you remember that time you thought I wanted to fight you? Let's both laugh together! Gineara, you and I have come a long way in our friendship, and I have found us to be very similar in more ways than one. The thing I love most about you is your gratefulness in having fun in the simple aspects, and your freedom in laughing even when life is tense and the air is thick. Please bless all of us with your beautiful spirit as my bridesmaid. Xo, Nini

Akilah McKinney

Bridesmaid

Akilah, when Anthony and I started courting, you made me feel a part of the family from the first hug we gave each other. I'd always tell Anthony, "I love Kilah", and I truly meant that. There was no doubt in my mind when it came to having you share in one of the best days of my life--marrying your brother. To have you as my sister is also one of my greatest blessings. Xo, lil' sis

Chatika Carter

Bridesmaid

Sis! How could I forget that time I heard you sing for the first time? Whew! I remember saying to myself, "who is that?!" It wasn't until I got to know you further and realized that your spirit was just as beautiful as your voice. For every word of encouragement you have spoken to me, I thank you. I recall the moments you'd remind me of how much Anthony and I inspired you--how ironic, because it is my prayer that I can be just as loving, selfless, positive and uplifting as you are. Xo, Nini

Arielle Page

Bridesmaid

You are my one and only sister! I remember you'd always tell on me when we were growing up and I couldn't stand it! However, I understand now that you only wanted the best for me, and I thank you. I'm getting married, but you can't tell on me this time--'cause mom knows already...ha! I love you, Nini

Iyonna Burgess

Flower Girl

Iyonna [pretty girl], I love your smile and the way you embrace me whenever you see me! I pray that my daughter will be just as classy, poised, loving and compassionate as you are! But let's hold out on talking about babies right now, give me about 3-5 years! In the meantime, I'll bask in your beauty and thank God that you're able to grace us all with your presence as my flower girl. Xo, Nini

TiRhohn Sanders

Best Man

Where do I even start? You're a friend, a brother, and a mentor. I remember PWC'16 when I met you; how ironic that the week before, I prayed for a spiritual friend that would help elevate me in God--someone that would talk some sense in me at my lowest moments when I was contemplating giving up. Your spiritual wisdom, wittiness, and knowledge of the Bible, and ability to relate the Word of God to the real world is a much needed tool for edification in the church. What's more amazing is your willingness to invest in people and make disciples. Simply put, thank you. -Tone

Jerome Gilkey

Groomsman

Jerome, these past few months we've grown a lot closer. I enjoy hanging out with you and playing competitive games with you as well. You're one of the coolest guys I know, and you're laid back. You're also very easy to talk to while having the ability to get along with almost anyone. I'm excited to have you as my groomsman because you're the life of the party. I love your desire to work for the Kingdom of God, and your boldness that you possess in witnessing to lost souls. Always keep that in you. -Tone

Philip McRae II

Groomsman

Philip, you are a funny dude! I really appreciate you and Crystal. I look up to you both and I'm thankful for your service and dedication to the church. You are a true example of what it means to be sold out for Jesus Christ. Your entire family is a blessing to The International Church of Metro Detroit [you play the drums well, might I add]. Thank you for accepting the role of being my groomsman. -Tone

Orrice MaGee Jr.

Groomsman

OJ, thank you for always speaking life into me, for being a friend and someone I can talk to. You and Angelica have shown me unconditional love since the very first time I stepped into The International Church of Metro Detroit. When I first met you, I never thought that I would end up being your brother-in-law, but that's even better. I'm grateful to be a new addition to your family. The MaGee family is very precious to me--every single one of you guys. You and your wife have poured wisdom, love and encouragement into Nicole and I, and we are forever thankful. Whenever you didn't know what to tell us, you always gave us the best answer--prayer. I'm eager to witness what God is going to do in your family's lives and the next level He's preparing to take you to. God bless you. -Tone

Raymond Pollard

Groomsman

Raymond, I love your guidance and words of wisdom. You taught me when all else fails to be faithful to the House of God, and that has stuck with me forever. I love your leadership and I'm thankful to have you as my hyphen leader [I'm going to miss you]. You and Kim are a powerhouse couple; I love your family! I also love how transparent you are in sharing your testimony. God has given you boldness to speak. You are not afraid to share your human nature and faults while pursuing God. I commend you. -Tone

Maddox Watson

Ring Bearer

Maddox, you always jump on my back when I'm not looking, try to fight me and punch me below the belt! If you keep doing that, I probably won't have kids [so please stop--LOL]. I'm thankful to have you as my ring bearer. You and your dad [James Watson] are awesome while you and Silas like to wrestle--A LOT. Whenever I play with you guys, I'm reminded of how old I'm getting. I can't keep up with y'all how I used to. More of value, I look forward to your promising future and I'm excited to see you grow! I'm going to call you Evangelist Maddox Watson. The one you always beat up, Tone
