On June 13th, 2020, McKenzie threw a "Viking" birthday party. On a whim, Eric and McKenzie decided to complete a traditional hand fasting ceremony, in line with the viking theme and McKenzie's Wiccan faith. They had a small, intimate ceremony at McKenzie's childhood home with few family and friends as witnesses.

After completing their hand fasting ceremony, McKenzie and Eric legally wed on August 7th, 2020, in their West Allis apartment. They again had a small, intimate ceremony with friends. They celebrated with bowling, karaoke, and drinks.

Over one year after becoming husband and wife, McKenzie and Eric are excited to welcome friends and family for a larger wedding ceremony and reception to celebrate their love. They hope to recreate their original hand fasting on a larger scale. Events will take place at McKenzie's childhood home, which Eric has also come to dearly love. Please join them in outdoor celebrations which will include hand fasting ceremony, food, music, bon fire, and most importantly, drinking!
