Tyler and McKenna were both working at Longhorn Steakhouse in Coralville. Tyler was a host and McKenna a waitress. After a few weeks of flirting inside the restaurant, Tyler and McKenna met at a downtown Iowa City bar and had an instant connection. In the following weeks, Tyler and McKenna had their first official date at Monica's in Coralville and even saw their first Broadway musical in Hancher Auditorium in Iowa City!

Tyler booked us a last minute trip for a weekend in Texas wine country. This entailed a wine tasting at William Chris Vineyard in Hye followed by dinner and a two night stay in Fredericksburg! On Friday when we arrived to William Chris, we were taken to a private table near the vineyards where we had a beautiful charcuterie board and a bottle of wine waiting for us. After walking into the vineyards Tyler popped the question!
