Travel Note
We are so excited to share our wedding in Ireland with all of you, the people we love most! Thank you for supporting us in our dream to have our wedding in Ireland. We understand it is a big ask to travel abroad, and your love and support means the world to us. For anyone who might be thinking of spending some time in Ireland before or after our wedding weekend of July 28-30, we are sharing a trusted travel planning company, Celtic Journeys. Celtic Journeys is US based and McKenna and The Doughertys have personally worked with them on their previous trip to Ireland. Owen Flynn is our contact. Owen and his sister, Maria, own and operate Celtic Journeys. Maria is St. Paul, MN based and Owen is Ireland based. They also do planning in some nearby countries. Owen can put together an itinerary for you, set up activities, hotels, castle stays, private rentals, cars or do private car hire or anything you might want in all budget ranges. It is nice to have a US based contact for planning and paying USD. Owen is aware of our wedding and happy to help anyone who might reach out to him, just reference our names if you do reach out to him so he can make the connection. Owen and Maria both recommend that this is the right time to plan for summer 2027, regardless of whether you plan on your own or use a company. It seems far away, but summer is the high season in Ireland and accommodations book out far in advance.
