The dress code will be formal. We would love to see you all dressed up and recommend suits and gowns, but nice jumpsuits are also welcome. We encourage long coats/furs for the ladies and warm suit jackets for the gentlemen to be worn for extra comfort. If you feel classy, fancy, and amazing, you are doing it right!
Yes, both the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors. Guests are welcome to explore the indoor museum during cocktail hour. The average temperature for Savannah this time of year ranges from 56-65 degrees F, so expect mild, dry weather with a slight chill in the evening. The reception area will be fully covered and heated. In the event of rain, accommodations will be made for the ceremony and cocktail hour. We kindly encourage dressing appropriately for an outdoor celebration, keeping in mind that layers, shawls, or jackets may help you stay comfortable as the evening cools.
Yes! Parking will be available onsite at the Ships of the Sea Museum. Parking is similarly available in downtown Savannah via street or garage parking. All kiosks take credit cards. Rideshares such as Uber and Lyft are available throughout town, allowing for a night of maximum fun and safety.
We have blocked a set number of rooms at each of the hotels listed on the Travel section of our website. Each hotel is within short walking distance to the venue and conveniently located in the Historic District of Downtown Savannah. There are a variety of hotels along River Street also within close walking distance to the venue, such as the Mariott and Hotel Indigo. For a luxury stay, we recommend Hotel Bardo, the Thompson Hotel, or The Gastonian. You may also look into AirBnb or Vrbo for a more local experience.
We recommend arriving 15-30 minutes prior to ensure a smooth timeline.
Unless a plus one is specified on your invitation, we are only able to accommodate those who are formally invited.
While we love your kids, we have decided to maintain an age limit of 18+ unless younger individuals are formally specified on your invitation. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
