We will have a heavy hors d'oeuvres reception (so we recommend eating an early lunch before arriving!). There will be a vegetable, fruit, cheese, and cracker platter ready directly following the ceremony at the back of the church. Then, when the wedding party and spouses-to-be officially process into the space, heavy hors-d'oeuvres will be passed by the team at DeAvila's Catering. We cannot serve alcohol at the church, but there will be a table of fun "mocktails" (Ever have the Butter Beer featured in Harry Potter? That'll be one of them!), water, and other non-alcoholic beverages. After the toasts, cake and cookies--the best part--will be served! The reception will end at 4pm, giving plenty of time to grab dinner in the city if you so choose.
All ages are wholeheartedly welcome to both the ceremony and reception. There will not be childcare, as we hope that your young ones will be involved for both parts of our wedding day if they would like to be. If they have some difficulty during the ceremony, there is a religious education space with lots of fun toys and games, as well as a nursery and diaper changing station (and another diaper changing station in the women's bathroom). There is a table in the back of the ceremony space set aside for young ones to sit and color if they are uncomfortable in the pews. There will also be fun activities for them to do during the reception!
Guests can park on Summer Street or Church Green, or on either side of the road directly across from the chapel door on Church Green. This little road serves as the driveway to a medical building that is now largely unused; we have permission to use the parking lot of this building, so feel free to park there.
Yes! For the ceremony, please use the ramp at the side entrance across the street from the Old Colony Historical Museum.
