When and where is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding is on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at A BARN in Dayton, ME. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all at the same venue. The venue's address is 152 Waterhouse Rd, Dayton, ME 04005.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

You may arrive at 3:30 p.m. We kindly ask guests arrive no later than 3:45 p.m. to allow plenty of time for parking and walking to the ceremony location. If you arrive after the ceremony starts, you will have to wait until cocktail hour to join the celebration.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We want our guests to look and feel their best on our big day, and we encourage you to dress up. Semi-formal attire is appropriate for the occasion. Please no jeans or flannel. Please avoid wearing white, ivory, cream and other colors traditionally reserved for the bride along with our wedding colors: navy and dusty blue.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We’re paying a professional photographer to capture this special moment, and your presence—fully in the moment—means the world to us. After the ceremony, feel free to snap away and share all your shots with us!

What should I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Join us for cocktail hour! It will begin right after the ceremony on the patio at the back of the barn. Enjoy drinks, light bites, and great company while we wrap up a few photos before the reception begins.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We kindly ask that only those listed on your invitation attend. Due to limited space at our venue, we’re only able to accommodate the guests named on each invite. Thank you for understanding!

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we’re keeping our celebration mostly adults-only. Children who are part of the wedding party or are specifically named on the invitation are welcome. We truly appreciate your understanding!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We’ll be having a cash bar available with specialty cocktails plus a variety of beer and wine. Please bring cash or a card if you’d like to enjoy a drink!

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Answer

We kindly ask that you do not bring any outside alcohol to the venue. Our venue strictly prohibits it and it could jeopardize our contract. Thank you for understanding and helping us keep everything running smoothly!
