& Sometimes, The Grandest Adventure is not where you go, but who you go with.

In September of 2012, Ryan and Brittney met through mutual friends at Oktoberfest in Downtown Denver. Although they didn’t know it yet, they were the perfect complement for one another. Both creative and passionate, Ryan is imaginative, empirical, and ambitious, while Brittney is outgoing, organized, and affectionate. Over their 6 year relationship, the couple has created an undeniable bond founded on their shared love for family life, the outdoors, entertaining, health, travel, and their two fur children, Cole and Moose.

The summer of 2018 flew by. Already August, Brit & Ryan realized they hadn't gone camping yet! Many of their fondest memories involved camping so they decided to squeeze in a trip to their favorite spot. They named this special place “The Rock” after an enormous, suspended boulder that obscures the secret campsite below it. A quick pack of the Jeep & they were on the road to Rampart Range. On the way, Ryan suggested they take pictures with a Polaroid camera he recently bought on Groupon. Aware of his oddly savvy online shopping habit, Brittney didn’t suspect a thing as they snapped photo after photo while setting up the tent & exploring their familiar stomping grounds. As the sun began to fade into the tree line, Ryan built a campfire & Brittney unpacked the cooler to start dinner. “Oh, I almost forgot! I got you a little present on Groupon too!” Ryan said as he ran toward the tent. Seeing that it wasn’t out of character for Ryan to randomly surprise her with a thoughtful gift, Brittney obliviously continued what she was doing until Ryan returned with a big box, wrapped in last seasons Christmas wrapping paper. Confused & now very suspicious, Brittney facetiously said, “Is it my birthday or something?” Although she couldn’t tell right away, Ryan nervously waited for her to realize it was a time capsule. Inside the time capsule were a few pictures & 2 pieces of paper. “I figure we want to remember everything we've done so we can put this letter and pictures in it and bury it up here. Go on, read it out loud!” he insisted. Brittney began to read the letter to herself & Ryan quickly repeated, "read it out loud". That’s when she knew. Emotion overwhelmed her voice as she stumble through the words on the first page; a story of their relationship together. She looked up from her lap to find Ryan down on one knee, tears welding up in his eyes, voice shaking: "Be my wife?!" She wrapped her arms tight around his neck, “Yes. YES. YES! A Million times YES!”
