Caitlin and Cory’s story began in Austin over eight years ago with what seemed like a simple swipe on a dating app. Little did they know, their paths had been crisscrossing long before that moment. They grew up in neighboring towns, their high school football teams played against each other, and mutual friends had known them both for years. Their first date started over Indian food, a meal they both loved and still enjoy today. Lunch came to an end too quickly, and neither wanted the day to stop there. So they kept it going by playing games at Pinballz arcade and ended the evening by running errands together. From the very beginning, it felt like a glimpse of real life side by side: fun, easy, and full of laughter. Over the years, Pinballz became a favorite spot, and it only felt right to return there years later for their engagement photos. Not long after, life pulled them in different directions. Caitlin graduated from UT and left Texas for New York before moving to Houston for law school, while Cory remained in Austin where he too graduated from UT. For five years they built their relationship across cities, proving that distance couldn’t weaken what they had. Eventually, Caitlin made her way back to Austin, and for the past three years, they’ve been building a home together along with their four beloved pets: their dog, Pippi, and their cats, Goblin, Toad, and Lulu. Cory’s proposal reflected the heart of their relationship: thoughtful, romantic, and full of meaning. With the help of Caitlin’s sister, Courtney, and her best friend, Haley, he decorated a wooded path with candles and photographs of their memories together. At the end of the trail, Cory was waiting, ready to ask Caitlin to spend forever with him. He told her he couldn’t wait to create so many more memories that they could fill an entire forest.
