Ryan and Courtney started their story on a dating app, Bumble! While they hit it off in a few short texts, Ryan was brave enough to ask Courtney out on a date for dinner; however Courtney got scared and “ghosted” Ryan. A few months later Courtney decided she was ready to go out in the world and by fate once again found Ryan on Hinge. She decided she would try again and hope he wouldn’t remember the fact she ghosted him a few months ago. They had their first date on August 2nd 2023 and the second August 3rd and 4th and 5th and so on. To say the least they hit it off and became fast friends. Ryan and Courtney didn’t solidify their relationship until August 23rd. They have grown together since and continue to.

Ryan planned a picnic on May 16th 2024 in the Riverside Park in Grand Forks, North Dakota. They ate there packed lunch and after Ryan ask Courtney to dance. “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele. This song plays in big role in their story as it is the song Courtney realized she wanted to date Ryan. After the song was over Ryan got on one knee and asked Courtney to marry him! Of course she said yes! They celebrated with dinner at The Toasted Frog and shared with family and friends the next day!
