Vail is one of the Rocky Mountains' prime adventure base camps. Late September is the beginning of 'shoulder season' where the summer crowds have gone home and the ski crowds haven't started to show up yet.
There are countless scenic destinations within an hour drive of Vail.
To the east you'll find Silverthorne and Lake Dillon.
South of Vail is historic Leadville, the highest city in North America-home to the National Mining Hall of Fame/Museum and the tallest peaks in the Rocky Mountains.
Being Colorado, the breweries and distilleries are numerous and of great quality.
We can't wait for you to experience it!
