Matron of Honor
She's been around from day one, mostly because she's my older sister ;) We've lived near and far - and no matter the distance we've been ones to share everything, ask for advice in it all, and encourage each other. Abi & I both made the big step to move abroad at the same time (Abi + fam moved to Germany, me to Thailand). Sharing the joys and hardships of living abroad with my sister was a huge blessing. Abigail and her sweet family currently reside in Morocco - so having her home once to help with wedding plan and again for the big day has been a sweet treat!
Best Man
Vick is truly Mitch's brother from another mother. Vick and Mitch have been friends since they met at Field Middle School in the 6th grade. Although not attending the same high school or same college, they remained really close friends. After college Mitch moved into Vick's house and stayed for nearly 4 years. During their time as friends, Mitch and Vick have traveled the world together: Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Mexico, Las Vegas, Jamaica, and Cuba. You can find Vick and Mitch every so often at the Cedar Inn, catching up on each others lives over pitchers of beer and chicken wings.
Bridesmaid
Meghan is Mitch's older sister. We love a good game night when we can coordinate and we look back fondly on our vacation to Arizona (January 2018). I am definitely getting lucky with my newest sister in law - she's fun, creative, and a healthy dose of reality when I need it. Meg has been nothing short of helpful in the wedding planning stage - she even designed our wonderful wedding invitations, took our engagement photos, and has offered her help in every aspect of our big day! Can't wait to call you my sister, Meg!
Groomsman
Nick (aka Neummy) and Mitch have been friends since the early years of high school. Neummy and Mitch's sister, Meghan, were friends first, but after many "gatherings" at Momma Jeanna's, Neummy became the "Maverick" to Mitch's "Goose." When Mitch went off to college, Neummy went off to the Army National Guard where he worked on Helicopters. The two reconvened as roommates when they both moved into Vick's house in Minneapolis. To this day you can still find Neummy and Mitch playing Golf, Racket Ball, Rocket League, and Beer Pong (when the opportunity presents itself)
Bridesmaid
Gretchen is the most organized person who knows when to say "no" and when to say "more please!" Gretchen is my sister-in-law (married to Peter - July 2015). Gretchen is someone who is always willing to be honest and truthful with everyone she meets - and she ain't gonna sugar coat it! She's supportive and encouraging but also raw and real. When Mitch was out of town and I had 7 houses to go look through - Gretchen (and then Peter) was my first phone call. Gretch and I have so many fun memories together - including our girls trip (just us... HA) to Duluth in November 2017. Also, I swear she planned this wedding in a 4 hour span.
Groomsman
Alex and Mitch met during their time up at St. Cloud State University working for the on-campus T.V. station. There they worked countless hours producing and engineering student run productions which led them to a lot of late nights trying to forget about those stressful times. After school, Alex and Mitch shared a small Bloomington apartment for a year before parting ways. They have remained very close friends and now they spend their time together drinking beer and building things in Alex's workshop. (Obviously not one before the other)
Bridesmaid
Best friends since the first grade, we've literally done it all together: best friends, college roommates, poor adults, and now onto the bigger things in life! Lauren has been the person who has been there through it all for me, she is always positive and encouraging despite what's going on in her own life (this includes chasing after two crazy 3 year old boys). Her excitement and joy bubbles over and it is clearly contagious - I spoadically get texts from her, "YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED, I AM SO EXCITED" or "This is REAL life, you get to marry Mitch. love it!" Lauren is MY real life cheerleader so it's fitting that she's standing beside me on our wedding day!
Groomsman
Jake is Mitch's longest lasting friend to date. Jake's Mom and Mitch's Mom had been best friends since high school, so when they both had kids, the kids spent a lot of time together naturally. Though they didn't share a school together (until college that is), Jake and Mitch spent many summers and weekends at the cabin where they got into just about anything two boys could get into. Now that they are older, the friendship still remains strong and times at the lake haven't changed a bit.
Bridesmaid
Shelby and I met our sophomore year of college when we both rushed Alpha Chi Omega. Nothing about either of us screams "sorority girl" so that probably explains why we got along so well! We lived in the sorority house, we lived in off campus housing together, worked at a preschool together, and we've both pursued a life in education! Shelby is the type of person that gets excited about what excites you, is frustrated by what frustrates you, and stays supportive in all situations. She is genuine, understanding, and a bundle of fun. Although Shelby lives in Chicago we definitely schedule regular visits and facetimes to catch up and do life together!
Groomsman
Peter is one of Hannah's older brothers. Although Peter and Mitch have only known each other a short while, they have spent time practicing their woodworking skills and also demolishing Mitch's moldy basement. Mitch couldn't be more excited to be getting such an amazing brother-in-law.
Bridesmaid
We've known each other since our Calvin days (3rd grade!) and she's been a sister from another mister ever since! There isn't a single thing that we haven't done together, we've laughed (a lot), we've traveled together, we've frustrated each other and fought with one another, we've cried together, we've laughed even more, we've supported one another, we've enjoyed bottles of wine together, and we've lived together. We've even shared this wedding planning experience together (she gets hitched in October!) and I couldn't imagine marrying my best friend without this best friend standing along side us.
Groomsman
Brett and Mitch met a little later in life while playing Volleyball at open gyms around Minneapolis. Through the sport they became very close friends which created a friendship off the court filled with long nights, laughs and the occasional karaoke.
Officiant
David is the oldest Johnson sibling. Growing up he always told me I was picked up at an antique store - from a young age I responded, "If they got me there - they got you there too!" Fun Fact: He once took a modeling gig just so he could tell his wife that she was married to a model.
Usher
Teya is Mitch's lil' step sister. She is a wonderful, loving, goofy human being, an aspiring musician, a practicing theater actress and an up and coming high school volleyball player. And if you ask her nicely, she might show you her Minion impression.
Usher
Collins is Hannah's brother in law (married to Abigail, maid of honor). When receiving our card asking him to be an usher he responded with, "I get to be USHER at their wedding?!" That statement sums up Collins - he is engaging, fun, and always down for a good time!
Flower Girl
When asking Hadleigh to be our flower girl, we wrote her (and Ellory) a card. I had her read it aloud to me - she got to the last sentence that read, "will you be our flower girls?!" She stopped sounded the words out mid "will" and paused for a moment. Suddenly she was jumping up and down, "yes yes yes!" Needless to say, this soon to be 6 year old is excited for her 3rd time as flower girl!
Flower Girl
Ellory is David and Tessa's youngest, she'll be just shy of her third birthday come July. She moves 100 miles a minute, loves auntie cuddles, and is full of laughter.
Flower Girl
Amalie is Collins & Abigails oldest child. She will turn 6 this summer and is excited to be a flower girl (this is her second time - she's a pro!) girlfriend is a ray of sunshine full of personality, energy, and love!
Ring Bearer
Sweet Simeon will turn three right before our wedding! He is bubbly and energetic ALL. THE. TIME. His mother's one request was that we never give him the ACTUAL rings
Goodest Boy
Woof He may or may not make an appearance...
