Culebra

We are planning a day trip to Culebra on June 10 for anyone who wants to join! We will meet the morning of June 10 and take the passenger ferry out of Ceiba. Travel from the house rental in Sabana to Ceiba is 1.5 hours on a tollway. It will be about an hour to reach Culebra and the fare is $3 per person. Travel to Playa Flamenco from the ferry is by taxi which costs approximately $5 per person. For food, there are many vendors at Playa Flamenco so we do not plan on bringing food in for a picnic. Plan on bringing cash to the beach for taxi fare, food, drinks (aside from water which we will have in a cooler), and souvenirs. This is a great area for snorkeling. You can rent snorkeling equipment or bring your own. Make sure you pack extra clothes and sunscreen in your beach bag. Also, you can rent chairs and umbrellas at the beach from local vendors but we need to plan on arriving early.
