FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Casual! We want everyone (including ourselves!) to be as comfortable as possible. Just keep in mind the ceremony is on a beach, Puerto Rico is hot even at 5:30 pm, and dress accordingly. If you want to dress up, do so! If you want to roll in after a day on the beach wearing your swimsuit, that’s ok too!

Question

Will there be a reception?

Answer

Of sorts! We are planning on treating everyone to dinner at a restaurant that can accommodate a large group. Stay tuned!

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Nope. It’s enough that we are asking our close friends and family to fly all the way to Puerto Rico and enjoy the sun and sand adventures with us! Plus, we’ve done this before, no gifts needed just the pleasure of your company ♥️

Question

What are the exact dates the wedding party will be in Puerto Rico?

Answer

We are planning on arriving Sunday June 8th and going home Friday June 13th. Feel free to stay a few days or the whole week!

Question

Do you have any suggestions for travel arrangements?

Answer

First of all, you do not need a passport if you are a US citizen traveling from the US. We get asked that a lot, but since Puerto Rico is a US Territory, no passport required. Airfare will depend on where you’re flying from. For us, we are flying out of DFW for around $300 per person round trip with upgrades. We have not negotiated any discount codes with airlines for our guests. There is plenty of lodging available the second week of June to fit any budget. Since we have 6 in our family we are going with an Airbnb rental. Hotels can run anywhere from $60 per night to $200 per night depending on the area and amenities you would like. We have not negotiated any rates for a room block, leaving it open to everyone’s individual preference. **If anyone would like to go in on a larger Airbnb rental with us to keep costs lower, let us know! We will be renting a car to get around the island for the week, it’s about $30 per day base rental for an economy car if you would like to do the same. **The response for a large AirBnB was outstanding! As of right now we have 20 guests staying in one large rental and have reached capacity. At this time we cannot accept any more guests in the large rental.

Question

Are there any group activities planned?

Answer

We want to be flexible so if there is enough of an interest in group activities we are happy to throw some ideas out and set some adventures up! Stay tuned.
