Jake and Jordan met at Terry’s bar in Boise the night of August 3, 2019. It began as a girls' night out for Jordan and a couple of her friends, Claire and Alma. Amidst laughter and enjoyment, they amused themselves by watching people embarrassingly belt out terrible karaoke tunes. Following an order of late-night pizza from the bar, Jordan decided to approach the bar for one last drink. It was then that she encountered Jake. He initiated a conversation with her right after she called out her friend for not understanding a SpongeBob reference. Though Jake wasn't the biggest SpongeBob fan, he smoothly pretended it had been his favorite childhood show. The conversation flowed so naturally that neither of them wanted it to end. As the bar prepared to close, Jordan settled her tab and headed towards the exit. Sensing it was his moment, Jake hurried after her, clutching her receipt, and exclaimed, "You forgot your receipt!" Jordan grinned and retorted, "I don't need my receipt." Unfazed, Jake insisted, "Trust me, you do." Upon inspecting the receipt, she noticed he had penned his phone number on the front. Since that moment, the two have been inseparable. Now, they eagerly anticipate celebrating their wedding on the fifth anniversary of the day they first met. ❤️
