Best Man
Brother of the groom and a man of many talents. He has his own woodshop and will never need to be asked twice to go golfing. Currently in nursing school, but should be on a multi-million dollar contract coaching an NFL team somewhere (hopefully our Minnesota Vikings)! Wyatt is that guy who somehow just excels at everything, from baking homemade artisanal sourdough to performing life-saving CPR .
Groomsman
We just can't shake this guy! A lifelong friend of Jake's since their kindergarten days, he also shared a roof with the two of us for a few years. Nick has always been one of our biggest supporters and best-est of friends. He has seen our relationship through from beginning to present, and we couldn't ask for a better groomsman. Hopefully he doesn't have any other plans to work on his cars, bikes, or any of his other various mechanical toys on the big day!
Groomsman
Foryst is another lifelong friend of Jake's who is always there when you need him. This guy could set world records for having the most hobbies in a single lifetime. Every time you see him, he is always doing the least expected. Foryst is a pilot (both fixed wing and helicopter), scuba diver, high school girl's tennis coach, runner, dirt-biker, gun enthusiast, and world traveler. By the time this bio was published, he has probably picked up some new obscure side quest in life.
Groomsman
Shawn is a man of many questions, yet few answers. An aspiring soap maker, Shawn loves craft fairs, farmer's markets and basically anything that gives him his "sense of community" he has been chasing throughout his life. He is not a picky guy and has been known to mix anything from soy milk to orange juice together in one glass and consume it in impressive timing. Even though you have to remind him to shave every now and then, Shawn will thrive in representing us on our wedding day!
Maid of Honor
In each other's lives for 16 years and counting, Marissa and Alison have gone through everything from growing up, finding trouble, traveling halfway across the world, living together for 2 years, getting matching tattoos, and now...THIS. An empathetic therapist by day and extroverted rave queen by night, Marissa M.S. truly knows what it means to work hard and play even harder. You'll probably catch her watching reality TV shows with her cat Simba, eating sushi, or planning her next music festival. She's also available to listen to all your problems (depending on your insurance).
Bridesmaid
From the kitchen in a San Marcos Buffalo Wild Wings came a truly unexpected friendship between Rae and Alison. Even though they weren't each other's biggest fans in the beginning, they eventually formed a deep-rooted connection - sharing Indian food, getting thrown off of a jet-ski, and almost falling off a mountain. Rae is a fiery, charismatic, and passionate chef who you'll find watching old school Nickelodeon, creating resin art, or crafting up some amazing food in the kitchen!
Bridesman
From meeting at a serving job in San Diego to moving to Northern California together during COVID - David and Alison have experienced quite the life together! They have gotten so close bonding through great food and drinks, complaining about difficult customers, and raising their beloved fur children. When David doesn't have a cider in hand, dog in his lap, or Korean BBQ on his mind, he is living it up with his closest gal pals!
Bridesmaid
Jordyn and Alison both graduated from Chico State and started their professional career on the same day together. While being a full-time employee at The Hershey Company, she is best in class in an extra role - being Alison's complaint hotline, voice of reason, and support desk. Aside from leading teams and selling chocolate, this Agricultural Business major loves cows, wine, naps, and talking to just about anybody!
Officiant
Colin went through KC-135 Boom Operator training in the Air Force with Jake, transforming what would have been an otherwise drab six months in Oklahoma, into an action packed story worth lining the shelves of your local Barnes & Noble bestsellers section. If you were in prison and had only one call to make.....you would most definitely NOT be dialing Colin's number, as he would probably be there in the back of the cop car alongside you. A loyal friend. A funny guy. Always down for an adventure. He's like the family dog, and if you don't like the family dog, well, you are just a terrible human that needs an attitude adjustment. We were honored to ask Colin to be our officiant, as he has the charm, charisma, and dedication you look for in someone to marry us off!
