Our Story
Our First Year
2021 - 2022
Shelby and Cam matched on Bumble in July and quickly bonded over their shared sense of humor and love for hiking. After a few weeks of chatting, Cam asked for Shelby’s number, and they had their first date at Pete’s Coffee. They spent that evening sipping drinks and strolling through downtown Pleasant Hill, instantly hitting it off. Just a few months later, they made it official, and their relationship only blossomed from there. Within that first year, they said “I love you,” danced the weekend away at Bottlerock, Cam met Shelby's mom over dinner, the couple enjoyed countless wine tastings and weekend trips with friends, and Shelby met Cam’s son, Christopher for the very first time.
Our Second Year
2022 - 2023
Year two was filled with deepening connections and new experiences. Shelby traveled with Cam to Michigan, where she met his family for the first time and was warmly welcomed into the fold. They celebrated love at not just one, but two weddings in a single weekend - managing to fly from the West Coast to the East Coast within 24 hours! Between big events, they embraced the quieter moments too, spending weekends exploring new hiking trails, cooking homemade Indian food, and binge watching Love Island.
Our Third Year
2023 - 2024
In their third year together, Shelby and Cam traveled back to Michigan to spend time with family and flew up to WA to meet Cam’s adorable new baby niece, Scarlett. They returned to one of their favorite places, Mendocino, for a relaxing getaway. They took on new challenges like mountain biking through the scenic trails of Marin County and placing 1st in a hotdog making contest. They also enjoyed their shared love of the music, which led to unforgettable evenings at musicals, operas, and concerts.
Our Fourth Year
2024 - 2025
During their 4th year together, Shelby and Cam spent a meaningful summer trip with Shelby’smom at Pinecrest Lake - a special place from Shelby’s childhood filled with memories, now made even more special by sharing it together. They reached an exciting milestone by buying their first home and moving in together, turning a house into a space filled with love and laughter. Then came the biggest moment of all - they got engaged in beautiful St. Helena! To top it off, they celebrated their new commitment and love with a breathtaking trip to Austria, exploring new places and dreaming about the future. It was a year of growth, joy, and the start of forever.
