Brittany & Gregory

Meet Our Crew

The Wedding Website of Brittany McCauley and Gregory Denis

KJ Creager

Matron of Honor

It's hard to put to words what KJ means to me. When we were young, we were inseparable - often times it was hard to tell us apart. As we've matured, we've grown into two very different women; however, no matter the time or distance KJ has always been and will always be my family. KJ not only has been there for me through the important moments of my life but she is deeply ingrained in every mundane moment from my youth. There isn’t a school day that didn’t end without us walking laps around the building or a weekend that didn’t include mile high, homemade nachos! KJ is the kind of person that immediately disarms you and you can’t help but feel the warmth of her love. I am so blessed to have her in my life and I could not imagine my wedding day without her by my side.

Thomas Stephen

Best Man

Tom and I have been best friends since 7th grade. Through the years, and despite the distance + evolutions of life, that has never changed. They say you can judge a friendship by the number of stories one could tell - well, I could write a book about the adventures that we’ve had over the years. During our New Hampshire days, Tom and I saw each other nearly every single day. Now that we live apart, we need to settle for vacations + weekend getaways - or frequent phone calls, of course. Tom has been there for me through it all, and I honestly wouldn’t be near the man I am today if it weren’t for him. He’s been my confidant, my advisor, and my brother for as long as I can remember. In short, I’m lucky to have Tom in my life, and couldn’t be happier to call him my Best Man.

Kara Nickas

Maid of Honor

Kara has been my best friend for the past decade. I met her the first day of orientation at Stonehill College and unofficially roomed with her and Kelsey for the next four years. We’ve shared in so many memories since those early college days but that isn’t what defines our friendship. Kara’s strongest qualities are her loyalty and how deeply she cares about her friends and family. She is one of the few people that I know I can depend on to talk me through any dilemma – even if that means holding me accountable. Friends like Kara are few and far between and I'm honored to have her stand beside me on what will be one of the most important days of my life.

Mike Herrick

Groomsman

Mike and I met in Charleston and quickly formed a close friendship that has continued to grow over the years. From late night Waffle House visits to Biltmore getaway trips, we’ve had some adventures! Mike is also the type of guy who will always help when asked, no matter how ridiculous the ask might be (ask him how much fun it was to move our marble table into the house at 12:30am). He has done so much for Brittany and me since we moved here - from helping with household projects that I could never undertake on my own, to advising us on how to raise my first ever puppy (Thor), Mike has been an incredible confidant. I’m honored to have him by my side on this day, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Sammy Pope

Bridesmaid

Sammy is one of my all time favorite people! I have had some of the best nights of my life with her just sitting in her parent's house watching movies during snow storms. Sammy and I have been friends for almost fifteen years and I feel so fortunate that we've chosen to settle down only a few hours from each other. Few people can make me laugh harder than her, and even fewer understand me as well as she does. I'll forever be grateful for her friendship and support.

Andy McGloin

Groomsman

Andy and I met at Notre Dame, during freshman year. Despite living in “rival” dorms, we formed an amazing friendship that only grew as the years progressed. From football games to condo shenanigans to frequent visits to “Murfs” (often to Murf’s dismay)... and everything in between, we’ve always had a blast together! While we now live across the country from one another, our friendship has never changed or diminished - for that, I’m very lucky. I couldn’t be happier to have Andy by my side on my wedding day!

Rachel Yang

Bridesmaid

Rachel and I started out as coworkers on my first customer with Epic. The first time we had lunch together, in an airport terminal, Rachel informed me that she knew that we would be close friends. I'll admit I was skeptical at first as I've never had a friend declare our imminent friendship, after having only just met, with such conviction. Looking back, I realize now how lucky I was. Rachel's strong intuition, her steadfast determination, and her fierce loyalty are some of the traits that I admire so much about her. Rachel has shared in so many adventures with me, but what I miss most is living in the same city where we'd have lazy days catching up over movies and wine. She was an integral part of our engagement and I'm so thankful that she'll be such an important part of our wedding day.

Gideon Nyakundi

Groomsman

I met Gideon back at St. Joe’s (7th grade). Little did we know back then how many adventures we’d end up having together as the years progressed. From opening a Cuban Cafe in our high school Spanish class to meeting future NFL linebackers during a weekend at Notre Dame, we always end up having experiences which lead to amazing stories. He’s the life of any party, and one of my dearest friends - soon, he will be a renowned doctor to top it all off! I’m lucky to have Gideon in my life, and honored to have him by my side. ** And if Greg did not have Gideon in his wedding party, Brittany would have had him in her party. Gideon has been an amazing friend to both Greg and Brittany and they are so thankful for their friendship with him. (I love you best friend! -BAM)

Lydia Denis

Bridesmaid, Sister of the Groom

I've had he privilege of watching Lydia grow and mature since she was 15-years-old. I always laugh when I reflect on those early years. Greg and Lydia weren't always as close as they are today and Lydia, never being one to miss an opportunity, quickly recognized me as the perfect leverage in any disagreement with Greg! Since then Lydia has continued to take advantage of every opportunity presented to her and has become one of the strongest women I know. I couldn't be happier to become a part of her family and welcome her as a part of mine!

Jeff Gratiano

Groomsman

Jeff and I met as freshmen at Trinity High School. We played football together, where we each earned nicknames - mine was Red (because of my hair) and Jeff’s was Big (because, well... he’s big). We’ve had many pivotal moments over the years, from meeting some fascinating Texans at the Red Arrow Diner one night to trying (and failing miserably) at completing our senior year final (read: hike up a mountain). As the years progressed, we remained close friends. While the adventures are more spread out, I always look forward to the next one. I couldn’t ask for a better friend through it all, and am honored to have him by my side on this day.

Kara Woodring

Bridesmaid

Kara was one of my first friends in Charleston and is one of the most adventurous, fun-loving people I know. She's the only person I know that you could call with any idea and she'd say want to go now?! I have had some of the most thought provoking conversations and some of the most dangerous excursions with her. I'm so thankful for her friendship and guidance as I prepare for the next big adventure- marriage!

Greg Young

Groomsman

Greg Young and I met as freshman at Notre Dame, when he hit me with a golf ball during our gym class. Despite that rocky start, we became great friends from that moment onward! Collectively known as “The Greg’s” in our friend group, we spent 4 years at college bickering with each other, stumbling into a multitude of shenanigans, and attempting to keep “Teach” from disowning us. Through it all, I can’t express how lucky I am to have him as a friend + by my side during my wedding (just don’t tell him that... he already has a big enough ego).

Sarah Bourgeois

Bridesmaid

Sarah has become such an important part of why we love Charleston so much. We have shared in so many memories in such a short period of time. Sarah is one of the kindest and most considerate people I know; which is largely why I trust and value her opinion so much. She has helped me through some of my most challenging times since moving to Charleston and I’m eternally grateful. As we’ve gotten to know each other better we’ve discovered so many points in our past where our paths crossed unbeknownst to us. I love these strange connections and am so happy we finally became friends in Charleston. We've always found excuses to celebrate even the smallest of life's events, well I can't wait to take our antics to the next level as we celebrate such a monumental event in my life!

Bob Bourgeois

Groomsman

Bob and I met during my first year in Charleston, and he’s been a pivotal friend of mine since then. From witnessing his royal inauguration (officially dubbed “King Bob” at a local Mardi Gras Charity event), to nearly eating an entire cauldron of candy on Halloween while watching IT (much to the dismay of our better half’s), there always ends up being a fun story to tell! Bob and his wife Sarah are both in our wedding parties; that alone speaks to the impact they have had on us since our move to Charleston. I couldn’t ask for a better friend by my side on this day, and I can’t wait to see what other adventures are in store for us!

Gracie McCauley

Flower Girl

This little firecracker is the youngest of the McCauley siblings. At two-foot nothing she'll dazzle all with her contagious laugh and sassy spirit! As she likes to remind us all, she loves Greg and "Greg's girlfriend." We can't wait to see this little angel strut her stuff as our flower girl!

Richie McCauley

Ring Bearer, & Brother of the Bride

Despite being younger, Richie has always filled the role of big brother to Brittany. Together they have weathered some tough storms but through it all they've always had each other. As Richie has always been the Jack of all trades throughout life it's only fitting that he fills so many roles on our special day. It means the absolute world to Brittany that Richie and Gracie will lead the way for her as she takes her final walk as a McCauley.

Ben Woodring

Officiant

While I had planned to have Ben in my wedding party, we decided to take it a step further and ask Ben to be our officiant. To me, this was an easy choice - Ben is a pivotal part of our lives in Charleston so far, and I am certain that he will be a fundamental part of our lives going forward. I couldn’t ask for a better friend to bless my marriage, and I’m honored to have him fill this role.
