What Should I Wear?

Answer

The dress code for this event is cocktail attire- this means that ladies should plan to wear cocktail dresses and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie.

Where is the ceremony/cocktail hour/reception?

Answer

All wedding events will be taking place on property at The Essex Resort and Spa at 70 Essex Way, Essex VT 05452.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4pm. We advise that you arrive about 15 minutes early to allow yourself time to take your seat and get settled for the ceremony to begin.

Will this wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors and the reception will take place indoors.

Are there other wedding events that I can attend?

Answer

Yes! Any guest of the wedding is invited to attend our welcome cocktail hour from 7:30-8:30pm in the backyard at the Essex.

What type of food will be served?

Answer

We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a three-course plated dinner and dessert will be provided by Offbeat Creemee.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

A cash bar will be available throughout cocktail hour and the reception.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony and post them to social media?

Answer

We are kindly requesting that our ceremony remain technology free, with the exception of a designated "social media minute" that will be announced by the officiants. During this time (and this time only) you will be allowed to take photos during the ceremony. Once the ceremony has concluded, you can feel free to post to social media and take photos during the cocktail hour and reception. Don't forget to tag them so we can find them later @ #olesonido2022 !

When will the reception end? Will there be an after party?

Answer

The reception will end at 9:30 pm with a sparkler exit, and we invite all of our guests to participate in this activity! From there, the festivities will continue in the Tavern (on property at the Essex) for an after-party.
