It all started July 2018, it was Kelsey's friend Hayley's birthday, and Chris just so happened to be visiting his friend Arpan in NYC the same weekend. Arpan mentioned this birthday party and told Chris that they should stop by. We all met at a bar called Clinton Hall and Kelsey and Chris hit it off immediately, chatting the rest of the day. Over the following years, Chris and Kelsey stayed in touch, going to concerts in NYC, doing a ski trip in Breckenridge, all with the same friends. After a few years had passed, Chris found himself back in NYC to celebrate Arpan's 30th birthday. And as fate would have it, Kelsey was also there celebrating Arpan and Anisha's birthdays. At that point, Chris and Kelsey hadn't seen each other in a couple of years, but it felt like no time had passed at all. Immediately picking up where they left off, laughing and chatting the rest of the day. Later that day, Kelsey surprised Chris by telling him that she was planning to move to Denver. Chris and Kelsey talked every day for the next 6 months and once Kelsey moved to Denver, the rest was history.
Remember that ski trip to Breckenridge? Chris booked the exact same Airbnb that they had stayed at years ago, but this time was a little different. This time Chris and Kelsey came alone, to explore the town, "snowshoe", etc. As the weekend went on, the plans to go "snowshoeing" were actually plans to get engaged. Chris thought he was sneaky, but Kelsey had an idea of what might be happening. After shopping in the town, it was finally time to go "snowshoeing", and that's when dreams became reality. Chris got down on one knee, fumbling the ring as he pulled it from his pocket, and asked Kelsey if she would marry him. Luckily for Chris, Kelsey said yes, and they celebrated the rest of the weekend in a place that became that much more special.
