We were set up by mutual friends who took us on a double date. We enjoyed a dinner, drove around to look at holiday lights, and then Joel wanted some one on one time. He proceeded to comically kick the other couple off our date and we found a nearby Chili's where we chatted and got to know each other. Three years later on 12/16 Joel got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
