This is where Jared and I first met! The owner is a world-class pastry chef from France. For breakfast or lunch, I recommend the panini benedict or the chicken pot pie, but whatever you order, you must get a pastry and/or dessert on your way out. (You honestly can't go wrong, but the Napoleon is our favorite.) Note: closed on Sundays!
Two Birds is one of the few places on the Square that's open late! Their food, cocktail menu, and beer list are all excellent. Walk over there after the reception to keep the party going!
In addition to being a Civil War battlefield, it's also a good beginner-level hike with a great view at the top, if you're into that kind of thing.
Benjamin introduced me to this lunch-only place, when I once mentioned I was craving a meatball sandwich. I was not disappointed. Pro tip: get the cheesecake; thank me later.
No one in Marietta is sure why this thing is so famous, but it's very useful for giving directions. Don't go in (unless you want KFC), just drive by and say you saw it.
I've never had a Dollie I wasn't impressed by. (Faves: Lemon Lavender. Creme brûlée. Salted caramel. Red velvet. Apple fritter.)
In addition to being very cute, the Square has lots of great places to get lunch, dinner, coffee, or ice cream. My favorites include La Parilla (the original location!), Marietta Pizza Company, Stockyard, and Thaicoon. If you want to relive my high school days, get some ice cream from Sweetreats and enjoy it by the fountain.
