Our very first adventure was to Disneyland! From that first magical date, we instantly clicked. We discovered how much we had in common and couldn’t wait for the next — and the next after that. The rest is history.

One year later, Michael surprised Mayra with a promise ring before a date night. It was a sweet, heartfelt reminder of his love and commitment. That promise carried us through the years, growing stronger with every memory made.

From late-night study sessions to dining hall lunches and shared classes, we did it all side by side. In 2021, we walked across the graduation stage together, each holding a Bachelor’s degree — and each other’s hand.

We’ve built a life full of adventures and cozy moments. Whether it’s cruising, camping, painting, dancing, or binging a new series, we just love being together. From trying new foods to laughing until our cheeks hurt, we’ve grown from best friends to soulmates.

Michael planned a “venue tour” — but little did Mayra know, it was the moment he had been waiting for. With a big smile and even bigger heart, he got down on one knee. After an elaborate surprise, Mayra said YES!
