Our story didn’t begin in a coffee shop or a bookstore… it began on Instagram — the modern Cupid. Abel sent Mayra a follow request, and she accepted, convinced he already knew who she was. After all, within minutes, he was liking her pictures like it was his full-time job..but when Mayra confidently slid into his Direct Messages to say, “Hi Abel, not sure if you know who I am, but I am Lorena's little sister,” his reply was unforgettable: “Lorena? What Lorena?” And just like that, Mayra realized this was not a reunion — this was their very first conversation lol. Abel explained that Mayra kept appearing on his feed thanks to mutual friends and family. Eventually, her curly hair, bright smile, and familiar connections caught his attention. Fate (or Instagram’s algorithm) had done its work. The real twist? When Mayra mentioned that her sister was that longtime friend of his family — his mind was blown. He had known her for years and never once realized she had a little sister… and now, here she was. Talk about a small world. Abel wasted no time asking Mayra out to dinner..but first, she checked with her sister, who gave her blessing (with a smile and maybe a little teasing). That same week, we had our first date — dinner, drinks, and nonstop laughter that made it feel like we had known each other forever. From that night on, we were inseparable. Two people brought together by fate, family ties, and just a little help from Instagram. Most importantly, we thank our Lord Jesus Christ for guiding our steps — for putting our relationship and our lives on the same path, and for bringing us to this moment of marriage and family, through Him and with Him. Abel le envió una solicitud de seguimiento a Mayra, y ella la aceptó, convencida de que él ya sabía quién era. Abel explicó que Mayra aparecía constantemente en su feed gracias a amigos y familiares en común.
