You’ll feel like your in a scene from Coco surrounded by great food, local merchants, and music!
Take a tour downtown in the heart of Guadalajara! The architecture is incredible. There’s a lot of museums around too that are definitely worth taking a peak at especially the Jose Clemente Orozco murials... WOW! Lots of local vendors and delicious Mexican food all around!
If you feel a little adventurous and want to take a hike... THIS IS IT! Located close to where our venue is at, you’ll get to see and explore the mountain side of Guadalajara. Gorgeous views no matter which way you turn. The path is marked and a bit steep. Props to you if you make it down the bridge, bigger props to you if you actually make it down to the river.
A little bar hopping never hurts... Mixed Drinks for under $3, bucket of beers for under $5, and lots of delicious appetizers in every bar! This is a single street, but it’s bar after bar after bar. The choices are endless. It’s a highly visited site by tourists. If you’re going to visit, I strongly suggest going in the evening. Nightlife sure brings out the beauty of this street!
Just a bit outside of Guadalajara is the city of Tequila! If you’ve got time to spare strongly suggest you take a visit here! You can explore and learn how Tequila is made while there. Did I mention there’s a train ride that includes ALL YOU CAN DRINK TEQUILA?!!
If you’ve got time, take a drive to Lake Chapala! There’s a few spas that overlook the lake and will have you feeling brand new! Delicious sea food restaurants are located everywhere! It is about an hour away so plan accordingly!
For those traveling with kiddos... you can have a family day at the zoo! Lions, tigers, and bears are all there for you to see... the entrance is probably my favorite. There’s also a theme park right next door called Selva Mágica.
A tiny little theme park located right next to the zoo! Perfect for a family day! Roller coasters, log rides, and rides that’ll make you go “holy s**t” are definitely here. Unlike here where rides are included with your ticket, over there they allow you to get on based on the type of ticket you purchase. The most expensive ticket that includes all the rides is $22, still cheap in my opinion. Lol
