Local Hike: Upper & Lower Table Rock
We went on one of our early dates here! Both of these are relatively easy and family-friendly hikes.

Martial Arts: Higs Performance Academy
If you like to roll or box (or want to try it for your first time), this is Sarah's home gym and favorite jiu-jitsu community... and is actually right on the same property that we're getting married! They have kids programs, too.

If you love pizza and a funky vibe, this is your spot!
Theatre: Oregon Shakespeare Festival
This Tony Award-winning, not-for-profit professional theatre is less than 30 minutes from our venue and an absolute must-see if you're interested in the theatre and arts. There are several shows playing the dates surrounding our wedding, including Romeo and Juliet!
Destination Hike: Pilot Rock
This one's another hike we've done together. It'll be about an hour drive from the venue and you'll need an off-road or higher clearance vehicle. Most of the hike is easy to moderate, but it ends with an adventurous scramble to the top if you dare!
Excursion: Mount McLoughlin
This is an 11-mile hike with nearly 4,000ft elevation gain... count on this being an all day experience. Sarah and her matron of honor, Emmalee, once did this hike by moonlight!
Family Getaway: Lake of the Woods
Whether you want to rent a cabin for the week or just make a day trip for the lake and lodge, this is a great family-friendly area to explore. Just keep in mind that this is about an hour from our venue and central location.
Day Trip: Crater Lake
If you're a fan of National Parks, check Crater Lake off of your list! This is about a 2 hour drive from our venue and every bit worth the drive. Sarah once took a 300-mile bike tour that ended at the rim of the crater!
Relax: Chozu Bath & Tea Gardens
This is one of Sarah's favorite local places to unwind. Get a massage, enjoy some tea or move between the various spa rooms and Japanese inspired pools and tubs. Fair warning: the public paths are clothing optional, but you can rent private baths, too.
Explore: Mount Ashland
This is usually a great spot to ski or snowboard but during July for our wedding, it's another great area to explore for hiking, mountain biking and more!
Be a Tourist: Ashland
Day or night, if you want a diverse city-stroll, Ashland has a great mix of restaurants, gift and art shops, bars, museums and parks.
Work Lounge: Forage Coffee Company
For our work-remote friends needing a quaint space to get some work done, this is a great spot!
Church: Applegate Christian Fellowship
This is an incredible summer church experience... in the outdoor amphitheater! Sarah's family used to visit this church while she was growing up.
Church: Living Waters Church
This was Sarah's local church while living in Oregon, prior to moving to Hawaii.
