Our story began on the bus to Bellamy Middle School back in the 6th grade, where we quickly became close friends—though Marcus swears it was love at first sight. We spent countless days riding around his neighborhood, chatting about life, and making memories. As we got older, our longboard rides turned into lunch dates, and somewhere along the way, best friends became something more. In 2017, junior year of high school, we finally made it official, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. Fun fact: Our wedding date is special to us because our anniversary is May 28th—this year, we celebrate eight amazing years together!

In March of 2023, Marcus and I embarked on a memorable trip to Aruba. After a few days of enjoying the island’s beauty, Marcus surprised me with a special plan. He had secretly organized a photoshoot with a wonderful photographer couple, ensuring I had time to get ready. As we visited various picturesque spots, I sensed something extraordinary was about to happen. At the breathtaking Arashi Beach, known for its white sands and tranquil waters, Marcus proposed, and I joyfully accepted. That evening, we celebrated at Papillon Restaurant, indulging in exquisite French-Caribbean cuisine and fine wine. After dinner, we took a serene walk to a nearby beach, where I spread my brother’s ashes for the first time since his passing. In that poignant moment, a parade of motorcycles passed by, a comforting sign that he was with us, sharing in our happiness. It will forever be one of the best days of our lives to look back on.
