Things To Do

October is a Wonderful time of year. Hopefully not too cold and not too hot. Looking for something fun to do try these!

Gull Meadow Farms

8544 Gull Road, Richland, MI 49083
, (269) 629-4214

We were so excited to learn there was somewhere to pick our own apples and pumpkins close to home! Mike and I loved our time exploring the Apple Orchard, Finding our perfect first pumpkin together at the Pumpkin Patch, and petting the adorable baby goats at the petting barn. We hope you can share our excitement! Per Their Website: "Experience the fun of Fall at our farm with a variety of activities for all ages. Enjoy apple picking and pumpkin picking, navigate our exciting corn maze, and savor delicious offerings from our market (including our famous donuts) and food trucks available on weekends."

One Well Brewing

4213 Portage Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49001
, (269) 459-9240

One of our favorite places for an easy date night! All of their alcohol is brewed right here in Kalamazoo. Don't worry may be have brewing in the name but it's much more than its drinks! This family friendly place boasts their delicious menu that can be adjusted to work for vegans and vegetarians. While waiting for your food and drinks look to the walls where art is for sale which is made by local artists. Don't fancy art? There are board game galore, maybe you'll find your new favorite game! After you finish eating head over to the left side of One Well and you'll find their arcade which houses a multitude of pinball machines that are just waiting for you to get lost in a game. Maybe you'll beat our high scores?

Grand Rapids Public Museum

, (616) 929-1700

Willing to make a drive? We recommend checking out Grand Rapids Museum home to a functional 1928 Spillman Carousel and Finny the 75 foot 1905 Finback Whale! One of our favorite exhibits is right on the ground floor, The Streets of Old Grand Rapids, it is a 3/4 scale re-creation of what Grand Rapids looked like back in 1890. Oh and if you get lucky you may hear the 1880 City Hall Clock toll. Ticket Prices: Adult 12$ Seniors (62+) 10$ Planetarium Show Add-on is an additional 4$ with general admission

Kalamazoo Mall

South Kalamazoo Mall, Kalamazoo, MI 49007

The Kalamazoo Mall is famous for being the first ever outdoor pedestrian mall in the United States and it's one of our favorites when we want to go for a walk! From looking at all the old builds that still sport some of the adds from 1959, to going to some of our favorite small business there is something for everyone. We Recommend checking out Rocket Fizz for a huge selection of candy, fun sodas, and cute knickknacks. Try Cheerwine while you're there it's one of our must grabs.
