Where is the Wedding Taking Place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held at The Henderson Castle! Address: 100 Monroe St Kalamazoo, MI 49006 Please look to the Lodgings tab for more information on them, especially if you’d like to book with them to stay the night!

What Time Should I Arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 5.30pm. Arrive accordingly, we ask that all guests remain outside at the wine cave and gazebo until after the cocktail hour.

Will There be Parking on Site?

Answer

Yes! There is 50 complementary parking spots on site, all spots are self parking. Parking directions to come!

Transportation & Lodging

Answer

There will not be transportation available to get to the venue, please take this into consideration when choosing where you stay and how long it will take to get to the venue day of! If you are looking for recommendations for were to stay please go to our Lodgings tabs for information on three hotels!

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us! The dress code will be Semi-Formal to Formal. Ladies: midi formal, tea-length or floor length dresses. No white or white adjacent dresses please. Gentleman: dress shirt and dress pants or suit. Ties and bowties welcome! The ceremony will be held outdoors and the reception will be inside. Parts of the Castle do have stairs. Please keep this in mind when choosing your shoes!

Can I Take Pictures?

We kindly request that you enjoy this special moment presently with us and leave all cell phones or cameras in your purse or pocket during the ceremony. We have a photographer that will be taking photos during this time and we will be sharing them after the wedding. After the ceremony, we would love for you to capture our special day and we encourage you to snap away! Make sure if you post them you tag us and use our wedding hashtag #M&M2025

Will There be an Open Bar?

Answer

We will not be providing an open bar, but we would love for everyone to enjoy themselves. Please bring your cash or card to be served. We ask that you do not bring outside alcohol as our venue does not allow it and will fine us. All those who do not adhere to this will be sent the fine amount and be expected to cover the expense.

Are Kids Welcome?

While we love your little ones, we have decided to keep our wedding an adults only event with the exception of a few older family members. That being said, we kindly ask that you only bring those formally invited on your invitation. We hope you understand & enjoy the night off as we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Can I Bring a Plus One?

Answer

Unfortunately, we're on a tight budget and have limited space, so we simply can't afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. Plus ones are therefore by invitation only and we ask other guests to please not bring a plus one. Thank you so much for understanding!
