Midsommar is one of Sweden’s most beloved traditions and basically an excuse for everyone to celebrate summer, sunshine, and being outside for as long as possible. Since it’s the longest day of the year, it will stay light out until almost 11PM during our wedding weekend. We recommend packing an eye mask if you’re sensitive to light while sleeping! On Friday, we’ll be celebrating with a traditional Swedish Midsommar garden party complete with a Maypole, flower crowns, Swedish songs, schnapps, and lots of classic Swedish food (fish, potatoes, meatballs, strawberries, etc.).
No, you don't need to purchase a train ticket in advance. We recommend downloading the Skånetrafiken app to purchase train and bus tickets. Or buying a ticket at the airport is straightforward and convenient. There are English-speaking staff readily available throughout the station if you need any assistance.
We've selected a venue located near the train station and all wedding events will take place at the hotel so a rental car isn't necessary. That said, we'd love for you to explore the beautiful Skåne region more. If you do decide to rent a car, we've curated a list of our favorite local spots on our website to inspire your adventures.
We absolutely adore your little ones! We're planning an adults-only celebration for the ceremony on Saturday but we'd love to have children join us for everything else. Hopefully it helps that we'll have the entire hotel reserved for our wedding guests. Reach out via text if you want to chat more about this.
Due to the limited capacity of the hotel, we’re only able to accommodate the guests named on your formal invitation. If you think we may have missed your significant other, just send us a text!
We hope to host most of our events outside; however, the venue is located next to the ocean and the weather is variable. Typically, it is 50-70 degrees this time of year with on and off wind. We will have indoor options in case it rains but please bring layers.
