I met Mayleen our freshman year of highschool, and my first impression of her was “she’s short”. I didn’t realize it then but she would become family to me along the way. I have always admired her ambition, compassion, and perseverance and I feel really lucky to have come across such a wonderful person. She’s funny, competitive (almost as much as me), and my best friend. I cannot wait to celebrate her and Cam and feel grateful to be a part of it!

Cam and I met in Honors Chemistry class in highschool. We quickly bonded over our experiences of being “the new kid” and how little we understood the class we found ourselves in. Since then it’s been impossible to keep track of everything we’ve done together as we have been staples in each other lives. This trend will only continue as Cam’s loyalty, dedication, and carefree nature make him my friend for life. I’m honored to stand as his best man on his and May’s special day.

I met Mayleen when we both joined Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. Although we did not know each other well in the beginning, Mayleen was always the first person to offer me a ride whenever I needed one! I loved getting to know her, listening to her amazing Spotify playlists, and all of our late nights spent together. I can’t wait to celebrate the bachata queen!

I met Cam sophomore year of high school when he and his family moved to Zeeland. Shortly after we started to hangout and quickly realized we had a lot of things in common, the biggest one being our love for the game of Golf. We have played countless rounds of golf and shared so many laughs and good times together. A fun fact is we were playing together when we each got our first ever hole in one in different years! I am very blessed to have Cam as a friend and I am excited to see where life takes him and May!

My name is Carla Castillo and I am from the Rio Grande Valley, Texas. I met Mayleen in 2018 through Sigma Lambda Gamma Inc. where we became line sisters. My first thoughts of Mayleen were that she was a fearless leader, kind soul, and a strong empowered woman. We made many memories through out our college years and I am honored to be part of her big day.

Cam and I moved to Zeeland freshman year back in 2013, as the new kids it can be tough to make new friends. When summer came around was when we really started to hangout. It was his goofy personality, fantastic dance skills, and his unusual ability to come up with the greatest slogans you will ever hear that really made us click and from there the rest is history. Cam is the kind of friend that when your down, 5 minutes with the guy can change your whole mood and be filled with nothin but great laughs and a smile ya just can’t seem to shake off. I’m blessed to be apart of Cam and May’s special day and am excited to see what the future has in store for the two.

Though Cam and I weren't close in high school, we ended up as college roommates and quickly hit it off as friends. What really brought us together was how much we made each other laugh. Whether we were battling it out on the disc golf course or coming up with wild inventions (one’s that would never, ever work), we always managed to find joy in the simple moments. I'm thrilled that Cam and May have found their perfect match in each other. I'm looking forward to many more years filled with fun, laughter, and happiness with them!

Me and Mayleen first met my freshman year of college, we both were interested in joining SLG and we eventually became line sisters. I admired her dedication and commitment. She would wake up extremely early to work at a hospital, still went to her classes and she still made time for her line sisters. Mayleen is truly the sweetest most genuine person I have encountered and I am glad to be a part of her special day. My favorite memory together was when we would have our dancing sessions and listen to our reggaeton playlists. It was those little moments that made us bond with each other, and our conversations about life. I’m beyond happy and honored to be a part of such a beautiful story, Mayleen’s wedding day.

Can’t count all the good memories I’ve had with Cam in college as his roommate for 4 years. We’ve learned a lot from each other and helped each other grow. I know it’s hard to believe but there was a time in our lives where we would never miss a day at the gym😂 We’d push each other to achieve our goals but were also experts at kicking back, relaxing, and having fun. From burning pizzas in the oven to working corporate jobs and both getting engaged this summer, it’s been quite a journey. Happy for you and Mayleen! Here’s to a future for you guys filled with happiness, love, and maybe a few less burnt pizzas.

Cam and I met at GVSU through mutual friends and with only a little time of knowing him I found myself constantly laughing and having good conversations with an amazing person. Whether we were lounging around watching movies, traveling to the U.P. Or making spontaneous Panda Express runs its always a great experience. I’m honored to be apart of Cam and Mays big day and glad to see two genuine people come together.

I remember various times in undergrad Mayleen would give me a ride. Til this day she is the only girl I know that knows how to drive stick. Mayleen and I used to stand right next to each other in our sorority line. I am so excited that I get to stand next to her again on this special day. ❤️

It all kicked off at a Dekuiper family event, where I met Cam, the cousin I eventually looked up to and tried to emulate, both athletically and socially. After Cam and his family moved to Zeeland, MI, and became our neighbors, the cousin connection we shared turned into an authentic friendship. Excited and honored to stand with Cam and May on their special day!

We met in 2018 at MSU. We had in common the health field we both wanted to work in, we bonded over the struggles and sleepless nights it takes. Becoming line sisters helped to build the bond and trust we have in one another. We could look to each other for advice that was either school related or personal. My cousin Cam and I were born just a couple Months apart. Over the years we did a lot together with family. As we got older sports brought us even closer together, playing each other in basketball every year when he was in ludington, and then tennis when he moved to Zeeland. This year we were partners in our first golf league and it’s been great getting to spend time together again. Honored to be a part of the wedding and happy you have found each other!
