Bend is one of our favorite cities in the PNW. It's about 3 hours from Hood River. It's a fun town with great food, too many breweries to count, and a river you can float down right through town. Paddleboard on the river, spend the day exploring Bend's shops and breweries, mountain bike, hike, climb, or explore the nearby mountains.

About 3 hours west of Hood River, the Oregon Coast is famous for its rugged coastline and beauty. Use Cannon Beach as a starting point and choose a direction - you'll be rewarded with views either way.

A fun stop if you're road tripping the Oregon Coast. Watch the magic happen at the Tillamook factory, fill up on ice cream or cheese curds at the cafe, and splurge on merch at the gift shop.
